CHAPTER 1

A young girl, aged fifteen and attending a college in her locality itself. Ziya always had the desires of studying very well and obtaining a scholarship. She was focused on her goals in life.

But nothing happens according to our desires. Being in a group of seven friends, all non-Muslims she had to blend in with the wider societies. Her friends were Kareena, Sanaya, Nimmi, Kate, Mahira, Cherry and Zinoo. They were the best of friends, always chilling out and having fun. Their friendship was very strong because they were most likely to be sisters than friends. However, things changed as soon as they reached the age of seventeen. Though Ziya never went against her religion Islam yet there was something missing in her. She was unaware of what could it be. All her best friends were in a relationship and she was the only one single.

Ziya was not that much interested in boys or in relationships because she knew that Almighty Allah has reserved one somewhere for her. Yet she used to feel bad and started to feel irritated as the only topic in that group was "boys". All these things made Ziya feel inferior and wanting to commit fornication. While hanging out with the friends she met a guy, Kabir (kareena's boyfriend's best friend). She had a crush on that guy and wanted to try if this could work along. Besides, the guy was a Muslim and he was damn cute. She thought maybe there was a chance with that guy.

They started talking and then meetings started. They flirt with each other. Ziya felt attracted towards that guy but Kabir was such a playboy. Although having a girlfriend he was talking with Ziya and it was not a normal conversation. They were having romantic and sex talks. Ziya went along as she thought it was time for her to stop being such 'Old Fashion' and she should try to enjoy life like others. That is when she threw herself in that pitch. This 'relationship' lasted not more than one month. Moreover, Kareena and the rest people of the group knew about Kabir's truth but they hid it from Ziya.

As soon she came to know about Kabir's real face. She made her way out. She was not heartbroken anything as she was never in love with him. It was just an infatuation. But yes Ziya regretted the fact that she has given Kabir her precious time which she was supposed to spent for her education. She also found out that she only had some fake friends. Ziya asked for forgiveness to Almighty Allah for committing such a big sin. She reverted back to Islam but still hoped that one day she will find the man of her dreams. Though she had suffered a bit but she realised it was peer pressure that influenced her. Ziya knew they were all fake friends which will drag her to hell so she preferred to make her way apart. All this happened during the last semester.

Therefore, Ziya approached her very close cousin brother Ackbar and asked for help as she wanted to change her college next year. She was unable to continue such friendship and it was of no use as well. All the times she used to see those seven girls she used to be hurt. But Ackbar helped her in changing her college to an Islamic College.

Ackbar knew all the secrets of Ziya as he saw her growing in front of his eyes. Ackbar was already married to Zeeanah and they had two sons, Abbas and Asghar aged of twelve and ten respectively. Though Ackbar and Ziya had twenty years age difference but they were real best friends. For Ackbar, Ziya was not only her friend but he used to consider her as a daughter for he did not have any. Ackbar used to motivate her to go ahead and fulfil her desires...

As soon as Ziya joined the Islamic school she made new friends. She was so secured knowing that her Muslim friends will always guide her to the right path. Her friends were Lubeina, Hasnaa, Shameeah and Ouzmah. They shared lots of cute and lovely memories together. Always in their words, the name of Almighty Allah was included. This increased Ziya's faith in God. The four girls became Ziya's best friends. Their every word reminded Ziya that nothing is much greater than Almighty Allah. For that reason, Ziya really loved them and felt blessed. All this was possible only because of Ackbar. Ackbar tried his level best to made Ziya feel better and so that she may forget about her past. But Ackbar always told her that she should continue to repent.

During all this process of making Ziya forget about the drastic past, she was invited in many functions held at Ackbar's place so that she could feel better and there something happened. Ziya saw Anush, one of Zeeanah's cousin brother. Anush a young man aged twenty-three, had a really good sense of humor and would make everyone laugh. Maybe this was the main reason why Ziya felt a kind of love for him. Anush liked to read Anasheed and would show his talent every time there was a religious ceremony. Ziya tried to talk with Anush but she feared the fact that Anush would reject her. After a few months she gathered much courage and decided to send Anush a friend request on Facebook. As Ziya did not put any of her own picture on Social media, Anush did not actually realized that it was her. Yet he accepted the friend request. That day Ziya was extremely happy to make the first step. The conversation started and they became good friends. They would chat with each other every day and every night.

Days went by, Ziya realized she was falling deeply in love with that guy. She even asked Anush if he knew her but Anush denied. Therefore, she had to send one of her picture to allow Anush to get acquainted with her. Then Anush claimed he knew her for he saw her in many ceremonies. Gradually they came really close and this closeness got even more deep as one night, Anush was feeling horny while chatting with Ziya. He expressed his thoughts to Ziya that he wanted to have a moment of pleasure with her but that he did not have any feelings for her. Ziya was a bit chubby and those curves made Anush want her. She had an awesome body figure. Ziya was certainly sure that she loved Anush, so without letting Ackbar know about anything she decided to make Anush happy even if Anush was demanding something really precious.

They had some sex talks and they flirt with each other. Anush was not in Mauritius at that time. He was in Paris on a holiday. His elder brother Saif lived there. So, he was staying over there and at the same time Anush tried his luck of getting a job there. When Ziya came to know about it, she thought why not have some fun virtually as she will not be able to meet Anush in person so she is safe from not committing the actual action. During all these, Ziya was only thinking that if ever they had to get together it would be only for the sake that she really loved Anush. But she did not express her actual feeling for that man. She feared that this would destroy her relationship with Anush.

Therefore, she preferred to remain silent and let this friendship continue. It was actually a relationship of 'friends with benefits' but Ziya was happy knowing Anush was always there for her. She only wanted the company of Anush and did not found it wrong to remain in such relationship. Ziya hide this matter to her best friends for she knew they would be angry. Neither Shameeah, Lubeina, Ouzmah nor Hasnaa ever had a guy in their life. They were focused on their main goals of achieving something in life but no wonder why Ziya went astray this time. It was definitely not peer pressure. Is it because she was deeply in love or because something was missing in her life and Anush completed that missing part?

CHAPTER 2

After a stay of nearly one month in Paris suddenly Anush told Ziya that he will be coming back to Mauritius in one week as he got a job offer. Ziya was shocked, unable to think of what will happen next now. Anush was happy with the thoughts that he will have fun now but on the other hand Ziya was nervous. She felt she was not actually ready for all this. As soon as Anush came back, they made plans of when to meet and where. It happens thrice that their plan failed as Ziya mother did not allow her to get out for no reason.

After much attempt, finally one Saturday afternoon they decided to meet at a guest house. Ziya was extremely nervous but she was also satisfied knowing maybe after that she will be able to express her feelings for Anush. They met near the guest house and made sure no one saw them. But maybe they forgot that Almighty Allah is witnessing everything.

They entered the bedroom, Anush went directly on the bed and told Ziya:

" I am going to sleep, bye".

Ziya stood still in front of the door, still nervous yet she laughed because Anush was really funny.

She said: " Okay then I am going home, bye" (making her way out).

Anush: " Wait, Come here".

Ziya knew it was going to start. Her heartbeats increased and she was extremely nervous. She did not know how all this goes on. She feared the fact that she might not satisfy Anush as he wanted.
Anush came so near to Ziya that Ziya closed her eyes.

Anush grabbed her waist and said:

" I don't know where to start".

Ziya : " I am all yours, do whatever you want".

Anush pushed her on the bed, kissing her neck, taking off her clothes and in a few moments Ziya was no longer a virgin. Ziya and Anush were so close that day. She gave that man her body, heart and even soul. Anush was pleased with Ziya and they had a wonderful time together. Anush took the virginity of a girl for the first time. But it was not just about sex for Ziya, she loved that man and she was ready to give him everything. She waited so long to be with Anush and finally it came. She enjoyed each and every moment with him. Apart from sex, they talked and joke. They even spoke a bit about life and some problems.

Ziya was thinking:

" why can't time stop here and I have Anush for myself alone. I want to tell him that I really love him but am still scared for I know he does not feel the same. But if ever he says that he wants me over and over again am going to tell him the truth".

After spending nearly three hours together it was time for them to go back home. As Anush took his father's car, he thought of dropping Ziya home as they live in the same area. But before going back home Anush stopped at a pharmacy to buy contraception pills for Ziya as he messed up. He dropped Ziya in a small lane near her home safely and while leaving Anush did not even look at her. Yet, Ziya continued to look at his car until it disappeared from her eyesight.

Reaching home, Ziya was exhausted and feeling swollen. She was unable to walk properly. Hurrying, she took a bath and got ready as she had to go for a function. She forgot to take that pill because she was in a great rush. Unexpectedly, she saw Anush there. He was walking down the stairs and Ziya was looking at him, he smiled at Ziya and that girl blushed away remembering the meeting they had earlier.

After dinner, Ziya was sitting with her family members and Anush's mother was among them. Anush came and with his talks he made everyone laugh. When it was time to leave that place, Ziya felt a bit sad and upset. She wanted to be with Anush once more. She was already missing him...

After that day, Anush and Ziya remained in contact and their friendship continued to grows. Weeks went by and suddenly Ziya realized she had not got her menses and told Anush. He panicked thinking if Ziya is pregnant he'll get in big trouble. Therefore, he asked Ziya to do a pregnancy test and by Ziya's great shock it was positive. She was a bit broken and a bit happy. Anush there was so much terrified as he did not love Ziya and would not accept such thing.

Anush asked Ziya to take another pregnancy test to confirm the news. Again, it was positive. Ziya, who wanted to fulfil her desires and achieve something in life was completely devasted. Unable to understand whether to keep the baby or not as she was only eighteen. Anush advised her to act as if she is having her menstruation so that Ziya's mother would not find anything fishy. Ziya did exactly what she was told to do. Soon Ziya started to face mood swings, nausea and stomach ache. She was so irritated with Anush. Sometimes she would talk to him nicely and politely but sometimes she would be so rude and mean.

Anush understood that this issue is going to the next level so he decided to get Ziya's abortion done as soon as possible. Meanwhile, there was a function in the family where Anush was also present but his face became so pale after he saw Ziya falling sick suddenly. That day Ziya's dad car was broken and Ackbar took her to the hospital in an unconscious state. Consequently, the doctor addressed Ackbar and told him about Ziya's pregnancy. Ackbar was shocked.

There Anush was constantly thinking his truth will be exposed. However, when Ackbar came to know about it he had a personal talk with Ziya. Upon several requests Ziya finally split it all out by crying and admitting that Anush is the father of the child. Ackbar was so angry, unable to figure out why Anush did this to Ziya but the latter told him that she was equally responsible for this act. Ackbar even wanted to take the responsibility of the unborn child but Ziya refused.

Once they reached home, Ackbar handled the situation very well and he asked Anush to come out for he had to discuss something really important. Anush instantly realized he was gone now for Ackbar was a really strict and straightforward person. Anush then blamed Ziya for everything that happened which made Ackbar even more angry. Then Ackbar told him that he'll find a way out to solve this problem. Ziya became quiet and lonely after that. No one was there to understand her emotions. Anush was not supporting her at all.

Fortunately, with the help of Ackbar, that poor soul felt a bit better. Ackbar convinced her to undergo the abortion because her future would be destroyed if she becomes mother at such a young age and because Anush was neither ready to accept her nor ready to form a family. Ziya was heartbroken completely as according to her, abortion was not permissible in Islam (though it is valid depending on some reasons). Besides she already committed a big sin, fornication and now going through abortion made her feel more guilty. She wanted to scream and yell. But one day Ackbar took her secretly without letting her know they were going to a clinic. Once reaching there, Ziya understood she'll soon going to abort her child. On the bed, she cried and held Ackbar's hand refusing to go through this step.

After much efforts that Ackbar has put into convincing her, she agreed unwillingly. After aborting her child she said no words. She stopped talking with Anush as well for that guy pissed off her and did not care whether she was alive or not. For him, his problems were solved and he was at peace now. He even blocked Ziya on every social media...

CHAPTER 3

ZIYA'S POV

Sitting alone in a corner of her room and talking to herself about Anush while crying and suffering (tears in her eyes and pain in her heart).

What was my crime? That I loved you?

I admit falling in love with you
I knew you would never be mine but still i gave you my time
Someday I hope we'll be friends like before...

Our relationship will get better
Until then I think it will be good if we stay like strangers with memories

Though it hurts when I see you and when am unable to speak to you.

All those memories trouble me where I blame myself for giving you my heart my soul my everything.

That day I was the happiest for giving you my everything... I was glad that it was you who received my body my soul my heart
I trusted you.

I don't regret giving you my virginity!

If it was not you it would been someone else and maybe I would have regret it at that time.

Am at peace knowing that once a time I would be able to see you and remember about the past
I know you have no feelings for me but no one gave you the right to make me stop loving you.

I just regret the only thing of letting go my child whom I felt in my womb. I was able to feel it and I knew it was inside me. What will I respond to my Lord on the Day of Judgement? I know I have made a mistake but the price for such mistake would be like this, that I did not expect. Not even in my dreams.

One thing that hurts me more is that you told me no matter what the situation is you will always be friend with me and now you do not even talk. Was I so bad?

Everyone cheats on me, betray me or leave me. Why? Why can't someone be with me. Maybe I don't deserve any one and I am such an unfortunate girl.

With this thoughts Ziya felt asleep on the floor....

ANUSH'S POV

Well, I had already told Ziya that I am not interested in her nor will I ever fall in love with her. I know I messed up but I even tried to rectify my mistake.

Will she ever understand why did I do all these? Or will she hate me?

The way she spoked to be the last time I began to hate her. She made me feel disgust about myself. We could have remained friends but I did not like the fact she got me into trouble by revealing the truth to Ackbar who is my brother in law.

She should have told me before telling him or she could have said something else rather than just telling him about me. Now Ackbar will see me in a way that I am such a vagabond.

I fear the fact that Ackbar would ask me to get married to Ziya for I don't have any feeling for her. I hope one day she will be able to understand that she was equally at fault for everything that happened.

I admit refusing to Ackbar and blaming Ziya for what happened but it was just to save myself for I know how strict Ackbar is and if by mistake he told this to my father I would be dead.

I blocked Ziya on every social media because I don't want her to get hurt when she will see that i am leading my life normally. Her life changed completely after the abortion but for me it was something meaningless.

I can't stop myself from talking to other girls and getting close to other girls. By seeing this maybe she would be broken completely. I don't want her to suffer more because of me.

Though I don't love her but I would not want to hurt her as well. Every time I see her I feel a kind of guilt and I do have regret in my heart. Whenever our eyes meet, I have to lower my head out of shame but maybe she thinks it is my arrogance or maybe she thinks I don't care.

Yes, I do not want to keep any contact with her because I don't know what to talk to her anymore. Maybe everything is over between us and nothing can mend our relationship...

Whole 6 months went just like that. No one got into contact with each other unless there was a ceremony they would only talk with their eyes. All complains that Ziya had against Anush she would express it through her eyes itself because in such situation words do not work.

Ziya completed her studies and then the results came out. She was listed among the first in Mauritius for the Urdu Language and she received a scholarship to India for higher education.

All of her family, relatives and friends were so happy. Everyone was extremely happy except Ziya for everyday she missed Anush and would think of him obviously with tears in her eyes. She knew something was still missing.

Due to the reason that Ziya had passed with flying colors her parents threw a party. In that party even Anush was present. By seeing Ziya's pale face, he wanted to approach her but he could not muster the courage.

Just then Ackbar sat next to her and said: "Hey princess where is your smile?"

Ziya: "There he is". (pointed towards Anush)

Ackbar: "Oh please Ziya! Stop this madness. You know he does not love you right? So why behaving like this?"

Ziya: "Bro! I loved him, I love him and I will always do. Whether he loves me or not. Love is not a feeling that can be created just like that or can be stopped like something never happened".

Ackbar: "Yes I know but what is the use of such love that you get only tears and sorrows in return. Nothing else".

Ziya: "Is love only meant to do so as to receive something in return. Or one should love without any conditions? You only tell me".

Ackbar: (calling Anush by raising his hand) "come here fast Anush. It is urgent".

Ziya: (suddenly with a panicking voice) "Hey what are you doing?"

Ackbar: "You just shut up".

Knowing that now Ackbar was furious, Ziya remained quiet. Anush came closer and Ackbar asked him to talk with Ziya and just let everything out for once. Ackbar told them to go inside and have a talk while he will manage everything out.

Shivering, Anush could not even refused the order of Ackbar as he saw that Ackbar was in a very bad mood. He could not utter a single word. Once they reached in Ziya's room, she locked it so that no one get to know they were inside. This was suggested by Ackbar....

CHAPTER 4

Once in the room, they had a conversation. Though both of them were hesitant but someone had to make the first step so Anush spoke up.

Anush: "Are you fine?"

Ziya: "No am not (with a trembling voice)"

Anush: "Listen, let's just clear off all misunderstanding for once".

Ziya: "Misunderstanding? About what? About loving you, caring for you, missing you or for wanted you?"

Anush: "Please don't start it all over again. Just listen for once".

Ziya: "Okay speak up".

Anush: "Whatever happened it was just a mistake. I..."

Ziya: "Mistake? Like really Anush. It was a mistake. Yeah maybe you are right. It was a mistake loving you and giving you my everything".

Anush: "Please Ziya listen to me".

Ziya: "No! You listen to me. What do you think of yourself. Who gave you the right to play with my emotions? The way you made me feel as if am just a toy or an object is so ridiculous. Do you even have any idea through what phase I have gone? No, you cannot even imagine. How would you know what it feels like giving your everything to someone and that very person just break your heart. Do you know how it feels to be pregnant and feeling the baby inside you? And then going for an abortion? Not only that, each time you face the person who took your virginity and feels broken. Have you ever gone through that? HAVE YOU?"

Anush: "Not again. How many times do I tell you that it was not only my mistake. You are so..."

Ziya: "Yes am equally guilty but the pain through which I have gone is indescribable".

Suddenly Ziya burst out in tears. Crying uncontrollably. Anush came closer and without saying anything he hugged her. Ziya hugged him even more tightly and cried out everything that was inside her. She felt so secured and comfortable in the arms of Anush. He wiped Ziya's tears while calming her down.

Ziya remained quiet for a while and there was a moment of silence between them. Then Anush addressed to her (holding her hands):

"Ziya, you are a nice girl but I don't love you. I apologize for hurting you and making you suffer like this. I hope one day you'll forgive me. But please for now just forget about the past. See how everyone is present here today just to celebrate your future and you are upset. That's not fair. I am extremely sorry but we cannot be friends for our relationship will not be like before. Maybe you will be more sad if ever you witnessed me loving someone else. That is why it is better for us to remain strangers with memories. I cannot promise to be there for you because i won't be able to do so. I just want you to be happy and have a great future. I know you had some desires but don't waste it over me. Go and fulfil those desires girl".

Ziya was still hurt by Anush's words. But then she said:

"I have already forgiven you but how do I explain this to my heart. How do I stop loving you? It is not possible! My happiness lies in you Anush. Only in you". (about to cry again)

Anush: "Wait. You know if ever we get married or anything else. We won't be happy because the feelings are not reciprocal. You'll be even hurt by that. I can never have any feelings for you so better be it like that. Live your life and try to be happy".

Ziya: "Can I hug you once more?"

Anush hugged her and Ziya was lost in his arms. Ziya touched him everywhere and started to kiss his neck and play with his hairs. Anush hold her for a while and asked what was going on. Ziya said she just want him. Ziya held his arms and wrapped it around her waist. This made Anush a bit horny but he was not ready to do such a thing again.

Ziya wanted to feel Anush again but it was not possible. Forcefully she tried to lure Anush but it did not work.

All of a sudden, someone knocked at the door and it was Ackbar, asking whether they have finished as everyone was looking for Ziya. They went outside separately...

Anush was constantly staring at Ziya and the latter wanted to approach him again but the fact that all family members were present she just couldn't.

The party went well and everyone had a great time together. They were happy and enjoying themselves. Ziya felt she should talk with Anush once again before leaving for India. She even asked Ackbar if she could go ahead but Ackbar denied upon the fact that Anush said lots of things.

However before leaving for home, Anush wished Ziya best of luck for her future.

For the past two weeks Ziya was busy with her packing and shopping. She did not even had time to think about Anush. After 2 weeks, Ziya took the flight for India. All her close relatives went to see her off at the airport. It was a very emotional scene. While leaving she cried a lot and she even hugged Ackbar and asked for forgiveness for all the trouble she had caused but Ackbar said it was not her mistake. Shit happens but life goes on. With the last talk she had with Ackbar she boarded her flight.

Once she reached India, she was focused on her goals and she made up her mind to never ever fall in love with someone who would never be with her. Days went by and she studied really hard. She stopped talking with strangers also her close friends could not have any contact with her. Ziya worked really well in her exams and she always passed with flying colors which made her parents really proud. Once a while Ackbar would call her and ask about her. She was perfectly fine indeed but she was not happy...

CHAPTER 5

3 YEARS LATER

Ziya completed her studies and she was graduated. She received her degree and her parents were present during the convocational day. She felt a peace seeing the smile on her parent's face. She realized she had achieved something really precious.

She returned back to Mauritius and after a month and a half she was shocked with the invitation card received by Anush's parents for the wedding of their son happening next month. Though Ziya was able to forget Anush a bit and moved on in life. But she did not expect such thing to happen neither did she even thought about it. But she agreed to herself that she will go for that wedding, not for Anush but for one of her childhood friend Mehek (Anush's would be wife).

The wedding day was approaching and Ziya even did some shopping so that she looks representable at the wedding. The day finally came. She got ready all decked up. She was confident. She did not have any grudge nor complaints.

However due to some circumstances Ziya could not attend the wedding as she had received a letter of confirmation for her job in Canada as teacher. She had to leave immediately and she happily agreed to go. Even her parents encouraged her to look forward for a nice career. The day she went, all her relatives and close friends went to drop her at the airport! She was elated to see their love. At the same time she was really sad because she did not knew when she will come back.

There she was given a flat on behalf of the school she was teaching. In the beginning it was getting difficult for her to adjust to the atmosphere over there. But gradually she got used to it. She befriended new people and her colleagues also. Ziya was not that much timid but she preferred when people would talk to her first. She did her job well and achieved many compliments.

Ziya used to live alone in her flat and thus for time pass she decided to open a small business of customized products and it started off well. With this, Ziya was able to earn additional money that she used to send to her parents every month and it was enough for them to manage the house. Ziya's parents were satisfied knowing their daughter was their support and they had nothing to worry about.

Canada became a turning point in the life of Ziya. She fulfilled her dream of becoming independent and she was happy. But on the other hand, something was really troubling her that is her one and only desire of having her own family. She used to wait for the moment when she'll be able to get the world's most wanted happiness.

The daily routine of Ziya was waking up, brushing her teeth, changing in her jumpsuit and going for jogging, a warm bath, breakfast, going to school, returning back to the flat, take a bath, relax while watching TV for a while, cooking food and dinner, correction of copybooks or preparation for next class and late night she would check her mails and video call with her parents also she would handle her business transactions. Her life was going on smoothly.

Ziya had a good friend, Hania who was a Muslim too and they had a good bonding. They used to teach in the same school. Ziya was in the Urdu language department and Hania was in the Arabic language department. Very often they used to have interaction and their friendship grew day by day.

Ziya and Hania would hang out very frequent. They used to depend on each other for they had nobody in that foreign country. They would help each other. One day Ziya asked Hania if she would want to shift in a wider flat, just the two of them because the flat allocated by the school was quite small and not so spacious. Both agreed unanimously. A few days later they shifted over there and the rent was paid off by the directory of the school itself.

They decorated the inside of the flat very nicely and as the flat consisted of 3 bedroom they choose one each and adapted it to their manner. One room was left for the guests in case there was any. They shared the household chores and responsibilities as well. Both had a strong relationship and they continue to maintain their religious aspect as well. They would pray together also...

After a few weeks it was the birthday of Ziya and Hania planned a surprise for her. Hania has been busy since this morning in preparing all the stuff and to not let Ziya doubt about anything. She pretended to be sick so that she would not go to school and she arranged everything properly.

In the evening she entrusted he colleague Amnah the task of keeping Ziya busy. Ziya could not doubt it was going to be a surprise for her. The same day Hania's brother, Husn came to Canada. As Hania was busy the whole day she could not go and pick up her brother but she did send a taxi.

When Husn came, he could not even relax as Hania jumped on her by asking for help. He was the elder brother of Hania, only 3 years older. He got the job of a graphic designer in one of the top companies in Canada that's why he came to stay with his sister. As the flat consisted of 3 rooms, Husn adjusted very well. After having done the basic things in his room, Husn went to help Hania with the decoration, cake and food etc...

Once every guest came, Hania texted Amnah and told her to bring Ziya home. It was already dark and Ziya was complaining about getting hungry but somehow Amnah managed by the situation. As soon as the bell rang, nobody was opening the door. Ziya thought Hania was out so she tried her keys and found all the place dark. She was a bit annoyed because she was always taught to switch in the light as soon as the sun sets. As she walked nearly five steps and switching on the lights herself everyone shouted "SURPRISE" and Ziya was so overwhelmed.

Tears of happiness could be seen in her eyes. She celebrated her birthday with enthusiasm and thanked Hania for this wonderful surprise. Just then she was asked to cut her birthday cake and she saw a stranger in front of her, not willing to embarrass anyone because she was not aware whose relative was he so she remained quiet. When she saw how the stranger, Husn was continuously looking at her she called Hania in a corner and asked her who was that guy. Hania laughed out loud saying Husn was his brother. Ziya felt so embarrassed and she turned all red.

Then Hania introduced both of them and they started talking little by little. All the guests were entertained by the preparations of Hania. They had an amazing dinner as well. When all the guests were gone, Hania brought Ziya to her room and show her another surprise. She brought ‘sheesha’ as Ziya really liked to smoke ‘sheesha’ and that too strawberry flavor. Hania and her smoked secretly when suddenly Husn came in without knocking the door.

By seeing the girls like this, Husn was shocked. Yet he entered the room and joined them. They enjoyed the small sheesha party. In the meanwhile, Husn and Ziya were talking and getting to know each other a bit. The three of them shared a good moment...

CHAPTER 6

Gradually Husn and Ziya became really good friends. Most of the time they would be together talking or laughing because their relationship was a unique one that cannot be describe. Hania took on a part time job in the evening to teach Muslim students a bit of Islamic studies so she would come home late while Ziya had to prepare the dinner. Whenever Husn come early he would surely help Ziya and both would have lots of fun in the kitchen.

One day Husn and Ziya were home alone. They were watching TV while sitting in the living room. No wonder how suddenly Husn came near her and held Ziya's hand while speaking out his heart.

Husn: "Ziya! You're such a pretty girl I feel like I am seriously in love with you and I want to settle down with you. I don't know why I am attracted towards you. Besides you're a really good girl and your love for deen (religion) makes you even more beautiful. I really want to have a future with you. I will not force you but do think about it. It has been more than 1½ year since we're living together under the same roof. Why don't we make this relationship a Halal (legal) one? I like you a lot and this friendship of ours will forever be in my heart."

Ziya: "Husn! Before wanting to accept me you should be aware of my past and believe my I had a really horrible past so I don't think you will still stick to this decision of yours after hearing my truth."

Husn: "Horrible past?? And what if I tell you I don't want to know about it at all. I just want to accept you and makes you part of my future because you're already my present."

Ziya: (looking in Husn's eyes) "I seriously want you to know because I really like you and if ever we decide to get married I don't want to hide anything from you because no relationship can be based on a lie. That is my point of view."

Husn: "So what is that truth?"

Ziya was about to narrate the whole story when she received an urgent call from the school for a meeting. She rushed to the school. Hania joined her there. When the meeting was over, Hania had to go and meet her fiancé, Arshad. So Ziya made her way back to home but suddenly she bumped into someone and while saying sorry she realized it was Anush. Ziya was shocked and she stood still yet she was happy to see him after so many years. She did not hesitate to greet Anush while kissing him on his cheeks and hugging him...

Anush similarly was quite shocked upon the positive reaction of Ziya. They sat down on a nearby bench. Ziya enquired about Mehek, but Anush was silent. He had no answer to this question. Ziya found it a bit strange and asked for the second time because she wanted to see her friend.
Ziya: "How is Mehek?"

Anush then replied: "I don't know. We don't live together and we did not even get married. We are no more in touch (with a sad voice)"

Ziya was so shocked, unable to utter a single word and hesitant to ask what happened. But Anush replied seeing the expression of Ziya.

"Well Mehek and I just broke up because of some family issues a few days before the wedding. Now all I want is to get over it that is why after expanding my business in Mauritius I decided to establish one of my company in Canada. This is the main reason I am over here today."

Ziya: "I am so sorry. I did not know anything about it. In fact, I was looking forward to attend your wedding but because of my confirmation letter I had to rush to Canada."

Anush: "That's perfectly fine. The wedding itself did not happened. Don't worry you did not miss anything (smiling) Anyway you tell me, how's life?"

Ziya: "All okay. By the way, when did you came here?"

Anush: "It has been nearly 2 weeks since I am here. So, tell me a bit about you now, are you married?"

Ziya: (laughing mischievously) "No! And I do not even want to. Don't worry, it's not about you. I am just not ready for a relationship."

Anush: "You know, I never thought I will be alone today. Mehek was the only girl I found worthy for me yet she could not be mine. After the break-up we never talked again even though I tried to contact her several time but she rejected my calls and blocked me. Is it like I am paying for my sins committed in the past. Maybe I am enduring these pains because I made so many people sad because of me (literally crying and wiping off his tears) I really loved her and I wanted to be with her but maybe Almighty Allah had other plans for me."

Ziya was really affected by his words and she became emotional. Without thinking she just hugged Anush to make him feel better and asked him to calm down. Anush even hugged her back. After a few minutes he became quiet. Anush thanked her for being his support. Ziya was unable to see his pain because she knew exactly how it feels to be rejected and ignored. She understands really well through which situation Anush is going.

Ziya: "Well now that you are in Canada we'll be in touch definitely and if you're not busy maybe we could catch up for a coffee or lunch."

Anush: "Well coffee and lunch for some other time. Would you mind if i ask you to show me how wonderful Canada is?"

Ziya: "Not a bad idea Mr.Anush (smiling) sure we'll go. How about this weekend? Because I work during weekdays. Will that be okay for you?"

Anush: "Of course Miss.Ziya. Let's meet at this very location on Saturday at 9 o'clock."

Ziya: "Done. If you don't mind, give me your phone number in case there is a change."

Anush and Ziya exchanged their phone numbers and address as well. Soon Ziya realized it was getting dark and she had to rushed back home. They said goodbye to each other and went their way.

Once Ziya reached home, Hania and Husn were waiting for her anxiously. They did not even let her breath and jumped over her with lots of questions.

"Where were you? Where have you been? Could you not inform us you would come late? You know how much we were worried? We called you so many times, could you not pick the phone? Or at least you could have messaged us!" Said Husn.

Ziya: "Ouf. At least give me some time to breath Husn. Wait! (taking out her phone and seeing nearly 60 missed calls + 25 messages from Husn and 5 missed calls Hania). Feeling a bit guilty she apologized and said that because of the school meeting her phone was on silent mode. She did not even check her phone as she met an old friend and they were talking.

Ziya was extremely tired and went to take a quick shower as she was also very hungry. Thankfully Husn was at home and he made dinner. They all sat together and ate their dinner. Husn was constantly looking at Ziya at the dining table. Ziya completely forgot that Husn proposed to her earlier. Poor Husn, waiting for a reply on Ziya's behalf...

CHAPTER 7

The next morning, Husn knocked at Ziya's door and asked if they could talk. That is when Ziya realized she had a conversation with Husn but she forgot about it completely as she met Anush. However, she asked Husn to come in.

Ziya: "Come and sit please. I am extremely sorry about yesterday I had to rush to the school and I forgot to give you an answer. Well I need sometime before saying yes and also before telling you my truth. I hope you will surely understand me."

Husn: "Yeah I understand perfectly. Take all your time but I definitely want to say yes (smiling)."

Ziya: "Only time will tell so. Any way let's have breakfast quickly because we are already running late."

Walking down the stairs, Ziya shouted for Hania and she did not get any response. Ziya went to checked in her room and by her surprise Hania was still sleeping. As she touched Hania's hand she found that the latter was having fever, high fever. She called out Husn and he could figure out that Hania was unconscious. They rushed to the hospital, worried. There the doctor examined Hania and said it was because stress. Upon so many requests, Hania finally said she was stressed because Arshad do not want her to continue with her job after their marriage. But Hania was not ready to leave up her job.

Ziya talked with her for a while and made her understand that every relationship is based on compromise. With lots of difficulty Hania got calmed and she was even able to go home. Ziya went directly to the school from the hospital, she had already informed the director that she'll be late.

There, Husn was at home looking after his little sister. In the evening, Ziya brought some groceries to cook a supper for Hania. Husn and Ziya provided great care to Hania. While watching the TV, Ziya got a phone call from Anush. She was hesitant to pick it up in front of the two other so she made the excuse of bathroom and went to her room. She attended the call and Anush said:

"Assalaamualaikum, how are you?"

Ziya: "Walaykumasalaam, I am perfectly fine and you?"

Anush: "Fine too, just checking if you haven't forgot about our meeting which is on Saturday."

Ziya: (laughing) "Oh no, not at all. I do remember what I've said. Don't worry."

Anush: "Did I disturbed you? Seems like you don't want to talk."

Ziya: "If that was the case, I would have told you that I am busy."

Anush: "So you mean you want to talk with me? Right?" (Laughing loudly)

Ziya: (shy) "No I did not even said that."

Anush: "Chill dear! I am just kidding. By the way I bought a new house in Toronto. If you wish tomorrow after the school hours I could pick you up and you can visit my new home."

Ziya: "Oh wow! That's great. Congratulations. But isn't it a bit strange, you got a home so early. It has only been a few days since you migrated."

Anush: "Yes, it is. But money has the power to acquire everything in life, everything except love" (with a sad voice-remembering Mehek).

Ziya: "Okay! I will come along. Wait for me near the school itself."

Anush: "Okay done. So tomorrow at 1:30 P.M?"

Ziya: "Yeah done. See you then."

Anush: "Goodnight, sweet dreams."

Ziya: "You too, bye."

There, Husn found that Ziya's behavior was really strange and the way she replied was quite unexpected. He wanted to figure out what was wrong with Ziya but the latter kept on ignoring him. As if she feared something. Husn didn't know what to do actually so he preferred to distract himself from this situation and decided to go to a seminar at Montreal for his company. He did inform Ziya about going there and it seems that Ziya was not even bothered about the going of Husn. Maybe Ziya was giving all her attention to Anush and forgot about her best friend.

The next morning, Husn rented a car and was about to travel alone when Ziya mentioned about going to Toronto in the evening. Husn then decided to take his sister along as she was still sick. Hania and Husn went to Montreal. With this decision of Husn, Ziya could see herself alone for the upcoming weekend so she phoned Anush and asked if he would mind that she stayed in Toronto with him as they had to roam so why travel these distances twice when they can easily spend a night under the same roof. Anush had no problem at all but he did ask Ziya to bring along her clothes as his cloths would not fit her. Both laughed and hanged up the phone.

After school hours Anush was waiting for Ziya near the school itself. Anush even bought a new car and Ziya was the first one to travel with him. As soon as Ziya sat, Anush kissed her on the cheeks while greeting her. Then he started the car and drive to Toronto while taking with Ziya. Both of them were joking and teasing each other. They shared a fun moment. They sing along and were high on life, doing all their madness. Anush decided to stop at a drive-thru to buy fast food so that once they are home they can eat because he had nothing in his kitchen basically. The drive took 3 hours and it was quite long.

Once they reached Toronto, Ziya was elated to see the beautiful house of Anush. As she entered the house, it was more spacious and in order definitely. Anush paid some interior designers to make his home a lovely place but he forgot about the groceries. After having dinner, Ziya washed the dish though Anush was not allowing her. Anush then said to Ziya: "I feel like now my house look like a heaven with someone like you taking care of it properly."
Ziya blushed away, not wanting to have any other feelings or think about impossible things.

Anush then remembered that there was nothing in the kitchen, how will they eat breakfast in the morning. Also, he would not want to upset his guest so he said to Ziya that it was Friday and the supermarkets would be opened till late so he even asked Ziya to accompany him as he knew nothing in the kitchen. Both went to the nearby supermarket and bought the groceries. After returning back home Ziya arranged every single item properly in the kitchen and told Anush where the things are kept so that he know about it later on.

After that, Ziya took a bath and was extremely exhausted. She wanted to sleep but Anush insisted to watch a movie. She could not refuse. They sat comfortably on the sofa next to ecah other. It was a bit cold outside thus Anush brought a blanket and covered himself as well as Ziya. They watched the movie until Ziya fell asleep on the shoulder of Anush and the latter did not want to disturb her. So, he wrapped his arms around Ziya and soon Anush also felt asleep...

CHAPTER 8

The next morning as soon as Ziya woke up she was amazed to see herself in the arms of Anush. Suddenly she thought that maybe this should have happened earlier then she would have been more happier. Ziya was constantly looking at Anush while the latter was still sleeping. Then after a few minutes, Ziya secretly walked away so as not to embarrass Anush because she feared that maybe he will not like it if he ever woke up. She went to brush her teeth and straight into the kitchen. Ziya made an awesome breakfast for her and Anush. She knew that he liked pancakes a lot so she decided to make some especially for him.

Ziya was still preparing the breakfast when Anush woke up and found himself on the couch. He asked Ziya where did she actually sleep and she avoided this question successfully by saying "Breakfast is ready". Anush hurried to the washroom and brushed his teeth. Ziya organized the table neatly and both sat down for breakfast. After eating, both got ready as they had to roam around in Canada. Ziya choose the best places for Anush, the ones that she had already visited and that she liked a lot. Canada's Wonderland, Lake Ontario, St.Lawrence Market South, Art Gallery of Ontario and Gerrard Street in Toronto were found on her list.

They covered all these in one day and it was quite fun together. They roamed lots of places and did lots of shopping also. They even tasted different foods locally and internationally which was extremely delicious. After returning back home they were so exhausted and practically weak especially Anush who had been driving since morning. All he wanted to do was to get in his bed and sleep. Before that, he had to take a bath definitely and he forgot his towel on his bed. Just as he was coming out of the bathroom to take his towel on the bed, Ziya opened the door and was embarrassed to see him naked. She closed her eyes, apologized to Anush and turned around immediately. Even Anush turned all red due to shyness. Ziya walked out of the room and as soon as she came out she couldn't control her laughing.

When Anush was already in his sleeping outfit, he went to see Ziya. However, Ziya was unable to face him and started to laugh at him. Even Anush laughed and Ziya said: "It was not the first time I saw you like this." This sentence made Anush feel nostalgic and horny at the same time. He approached Ziya and said: "Do you want to feel it once again?" Ziya was lost with this question, reminding herself that never ever will she be committing fornication again. A strange sensation travelled through her whole body. All she could do was to close her eyes and go with the flow. Anush considered this as her approval. For the second time Ziya was about to have physical relationship with the man she once loved. Again, she felt on the 7th sky in the arms of Anush. While making out, Ziya burst into tears and pushed Anush away by saying "I don't want to be hurt again. I have already suffered because of you. Please don't do this and go away please."

Anush wanted to comfort her but seeing Ziya's state he preferred to leave her alone. The whole night Ziya kept on crying and remembering how Anush made her go through worst situation. She even remembered her abortion and the depression she underwent. Anush was right behind the door listening to the cry of Ziya yet he could not gather the courage to go near her. Ziya felt asleep after crying a lot, while Anush slept outside the room. When Ziya woke up in the morning, she was suffering from a severe headache. Thus, she decided to go and fetch some medicines from the first aid box which she saw in the kitchen. As soon as she opened the door, Anush was lying down on the floor without a blanket. She was so guilty. Ziya woke him up and asked him to go in his room. Anush apologized to her for his behavior at night.

Some misunderstanding were cleared but one confusion was still on Anush's mind, whether he wants to make Ziya part of his life or just cut off the new friendship they formed because he did not want that girl to suffer continuously like that. While bathing, he kept on thinking and thinking what decision he should take. Ziya was downstairs preparing the breakfast and laying the table. When Anush came, he went on his knees in front of Ziya and proposed to her:

"I am the world's stupidest man ever that I made you cry. I know every single time I messed it up but I want to mend it now. I regret the fact that because of me you had to go through lots of difficulties and I did not support you. I know I have wronged you. Now all I want is you to be part of my life. I want to have a future with you. We'll share every happiness and sorrow altogether. Ziya can we please forget about the horrible things that happened in the past and can we create a bright future? I promise I will never ever make you cry nor will I let any problem approach you. I will be a responsible husband and I will keep you happy now and forever. Will you marry me?"

While hearing all this Ziya was literally crying and wiping off her tears. She was emotional, no specific words to say. Just looking at Anush in his eyes. That's all. She did not reply anything.

Anush said: "I know it is tough for you to take a decision but I will respect it. Don't be afraid of my reaction. I just want your happiness."

Ziya then replied: "I will think about it and will let you know. I don't want to hurry up with this decision."

Anush: "Yeah sure. Take your time."

Ziya: "Can you drop me back home please. By now Hania and Husn must have come back from Montreal."

Anush: "Yeah sure. Get ready and pack your cloths."

Ziya: "Okay thanks!"

While returning in the car, Ziya thought about Husn's proposal made before Anush. She was so confused. On one hand was the man she loves and on the other was her best friend. Things were getting complicated and she was quite stressed out because of that. On the way, she saw a lake and asked Anush to stop the car. Ziya did not think about anything and jumped into the cold water. Anush got terrified and jumped in the water too, thinking Ziya was committing suicide. However, the latter just wanted to refresh her mind and apart from diving she couldn't think of anything else. He brought her on the grass and asked why did she do that then Ziya told him about Husn's proposal and Anush's face was worth seeing. He was so jealous and angry. Anush feared maybe Ziya would choose Husn because he was far more better than him. Before leaving the lake, Ziya changed her cloths while Anush helped her in the middle of nowhere and even Ziya helped him to change his cloths in return because they couldn't just stay wet in such cold weather.

Once home, she asked Anush to come inside but the latter refused. Husn who was already at home, was standing on the balcony when he saw a car parked in front the building. He saw Ziya with a guy and kissing him on the cheeks. Husn knew Ziya had spent the weekend with him. "But who was he? And why Ziya went with him? Ziya basically doesn't know much people over here and definitely not this one because I don't even know him myself. Let Ziya come and I will ask her directly." Said Husn to himself.

Ziya down was saying goodbye to Anush and kissed him on his cheeks. She made her way to her apartment and was happy to see Hania and Husn. She hugged them. They gossip for a while and ordered some lunch because each one of them were tired to cook...

CHAPTER 9

Husn waited for the right moment to ask about the guy he saw earlier when Hania was out with Arshad. He knocked at Ziya's room and asked for the permission to come in. Ziya said that such formality was not needed. They had a conversation.

Husn: "So how was your weekend?"

Ziya: "Not bad and yours? The seminar went well?"

Husn: "Yeah it was really interesting. Got to learn about many things."

Ziya: "That's nice."

Husn: "Yeah... So, what is the name of the friend with whom you have spent the weekend?"

Ziya: "Oh! That friend... Hmm her name is hmm.... Anna."

Husn: "Non-Muslim friend?"

Ziya: "Yeah. we met recently and became good friends." (trying a lot to hide Husn about Anush but was unaware that Husn saw both of them)

Husn: "Why do you lie when you cannot even lie properly?"

Ziya: "Lying? Me? Why do you think so?"

Husn: "I don't think so. I am pretty much sure you are lying. You think you can hide things from me. Am I so untrustworthy that you have started to lie to me? I saw you coming in a car and that too with a guy. Now don't cook stories and tell me it is not true (with a furious tone)."

Ziya: "See. I did not want to tell you nor Hania about my stay at his place. I am sorry for not telling you but I was so confused."

Husn: "Confused? About what?"

Ziya: "I don't know myself (taking a deep breath) That guy, was part of my past. You remember I wanted to tell you about my past. Guess what the same day I came across him and I was feeling very nostalgic. His name is Anush and long-time back I used to love him, I was only seventeen maybe. I even gave him my virginity and aborted his child (tears filled up her eyes). We did not have any contact after that until we met this week. I acted normally because frankly speaking I was getting over that situation. Maybe destiny had other plans, besides he was going through a difficult time so I just lent support to him. That is why I decided to take him along for the visitation of Canada, just to cheer him up. I couldn't gather the courage to tell you about it because I feared you might end up hating me (started crying)."

Husn: "Hey sshh! Calm down please and stop crying (wiping off the tears from Ziya's eyes). It is okay. Everything will be fine. Be strong (hugging Ziya) I am proud that you told me the truth and did not hide it from me. I appreciate your sincerity and trust me I won't judge you by what you've been through. I was your friend, I am your friend and I will always be your friend. Just forget about the past."

Ziya: (still crying) "one thing I did not mention is that before dropping me over here, Anush proposed to me."

Husn: "Oh (taking off his hands from Ziya's shoulder) so I guess you said yes to him for he is the one you have been in love with."

Ziya: "No I didn't. I was not able to understand what I should do so I did asked him for a some more time before I take any decision."

Husn: "Is it because if my proposal you said that?"

Ziya: "A bit yes. However, I do need some time before I could say anything. I need my own space."

Husn: "My only advice to you is listen to your heart and follow it but do not forget to take your brain along."

Ziya: "I will definitely take a mature decision. But please promise me you will not disrespect my decision."

Husn: "Oh ma'am hello. Have I ever disrespected any decision of yours? I really admire you and I pray that you take a good decision. You can count of me to be by your side whatever decision you take."

Ziya: "Aww.. thank you Husn! You are so sweet that is why I love you. Thank you once again."

Husn: "Oh so you love me. Right?"

Ziya: "Yes, a lot."

Husn: "C'mon stop buttering me now. You rest for a while. I will go and take a nap because I am also very tired:"

Ziya: "Okay you go. We'll catch up later."

Husn: "Yes sure."

Husn made his way out of the room and Ziya felt a bit light after sharing her thoughts with Husn. She was sure enough that no matter what decision she will be respected.

Yet, she was feeling very strange as she was unable to make a proper decision. Whenever she wanted to accept the proposal of Husn she remembered how she used to love Anush and all those memories were coming over and over on her mind. As soon as she thought about Anush, her friendship with Husn was coming in between. She thought that Husn really supported her and made her overcome the past she had. Poor Ziya! She was in such a dilemma. That night she did not even sleep. All she was doing was thinking and thinking. She stressed herself too bad that she walked out in the middle of the night. She walked to a nearby park and sat over there for about half an hour. In such cold weather Ziya was outside, thinking! At last, she could find a solution but she waited for the right time to announce it. She returned back to her apartment and slept well.

The next day, she woke up in a good mood and Husn was glad to see her like that. Hania and Ziya got ready for school and that day Husn accompanied them to the school. They talked a lot on the streets and joked around.

After school hours, Anush was there in his car waiting for Ziya. The latter was a bit surprised as Anush did not even informed about coming. Anush invited Ziya for dinner in a restaurant. Ziya could not refuse as it was a good opportunity for her to speak out her decision. Then Ziya and Hania walked back to their flat. When Husn came back from work, Ziya asked him to get ready as they would be going to have dinner outside. Husn was really glad thinking it was going to be a date. Ziya and Husn wore outfit in the same color, blue navy which is their favorite. Husn did not know that a third person also was going to be part of this dinner. By seeing Anush at the restaurant, Husn's face turned out all pale...

CHAPTER 10

Once they were at the table, they greeted each other with a smile. Anush had no clue who that guy was but somehow he tried to figure out that maybe it could be Husn, the guy who proposed to Ziya first. However he did not keep any grudges against that guy. He talked in a polite way and both boys were being friendly. After a few minutes, they ordered for food and they had chosen Indian food, Ziya's favorite. They had a great time together and after dinner, Ziya asked Anush to come home as she had some important things to tell him which could only be possible once they go home. Anush agreed and even drove them home. In the car also had fun while singing and talking. Singing was a hobby for Ziya.

Once they reached home, they had some coffee prepared by Ziya. After that, the latter came out of the room with her Ipad. Both were wondering what is going on and Ziya asked them to wait for a while. She called Ackbar on Skype and presented him to Husn for the first time ever. Ackbar already knew Anush as he was his brother-in-law.

The thing was that last night Ziya phoned Ackbar after one week. Both had been busy and forgot about contacting each other. Ziya told him that she was lost and needed some help. She narrated the whole thing to her cousin and Ackbar promised to help her out with this. He knew that in such situation Ziya would need guidance. Therefore, Ackbar wanted to talk to both of the guys at the same moment to decide which one is worthy for his darling cousin. That is why Ziya had to ask Anush to come at her place.

Then Ackbar's interrogation started after speaking briefly to both of them.

Ackbar: "Ziya's favorite colour?"

Anush: "Blue".

Husn: "Purple".

Ackbar: "It is actually purple, anyway… Ziya's job interest?"

Anush: "Businesswoman".

Ackbar: "Wrong Husn, she wanted to be a businesswoman and she is working on it! Ziya's favorite beverage?"

Anush and Husn at the same time replied: "Coffee". And it was the right answer.

The question session continued like this. In the end, both had equal points according to Ackbar. It was a tough decision for him to choose someone who is worthy for his cousin. Ackbar wanted to talk to each one in private. Husn went inside the room with the Ipad first. Ackbar made it clear that he would never want a guy that will hurt his cousin and that he wants to know Husn in depth in order to be sure. However, Husn assured Ackbar that he will always keep Ziya happy. They talked for about 10 minutes and then Anush went in. Anush took only 5 minutes. Maybe because Ackbar already knew how his brother-in-law is that's why.

Once, the two guys finished with the meeting it was Ziya's turn now. Ackbar wanted to speak to her. Ackbar convinced her that whatever decision he has taken was for the welfare of Ziya only as he knew her deepest feelings. Ziya literally was about to cry, she got so emotional. Then the three sat in front of the Ipad screen and Ackbar choose Anush over Husn by saying that:
"Ziya! I know you have always wanted to have a family and by giving yourself to Anush you had seen this dream of yours coming true but unfortunately it did not happen as you wanted. Yet, today Anush realized his mistakes and want to mend it by marrying you and trust me his feelings are genuine. I am not saying that Husn is faking it but I know perfectly what your heart desires. Besides Husn wants only your happiness, don't worry about him. Think about what you have always wanted. The opportunity is here. Go baby, grab it! I am not choosing Anush because he is a family rather i am choosing him because he is the only one that you have always love and I know you will continue to do so. If I had chosen Husn, maybe 3 lives would be destroyed. So better you listen to your heart and be happy. One is your love and one is your friend. Both will be there for you I guarantee you."

Even Husn encouraged her to be with Anush and asked her not to worry about him, he'll get any girl. But yes, Husn did warn Anush in front of Ackbar itself that if ever he makes Ziya cry. He will regret his life. Ackbar told Ziya that she should be proud to have such a good friend supporting her. Ziya could not stop herself from hugging Husn and thanking him for everything. Ackbar mentioned that they should get married as soon as possible and better to have a court marriage and Nikah. Husn voluntarily said he will be the witness. This made Ziya happy at the same time she wondered what she will say to her parents because they will not agree definitely. Ackbar said that: "Don't worry. As soon as you both come back to Mauritius we'll organize a family meeting and I will inform everyone myself". Ziya was assured with this sentence. Then they hanged up the call and Ziya went to drop Anush down. Anush promised to come and take her away really soon. Ziya blushed away. She was extremely happy. They said goodbye to each other and Ziya came back upstairs. Husn said that the Nikah arrangements will be his responsibility and asked Ziya to not worry about anything else as he will plan a memorable wedding for her. Ziya was overwhelmed the way Husn made her feel special. She wished that every girl gets a friend like him.

The Nikah was scheduled for the weekend after. Basically, Husn had only 14-15 days maximum to organize everything. Husn even fixed a date for the court marriage as well which will be held one week after the Nikah. Ziya could not still believe she was getting married. She missed her parents a lot but as Ackbar said only when she come back to Mauritius she will be allow to let her parents know about it.

Days were going so quickly and Ziya had not even done any shopping yet. Hania would continuously request her to take off from school but Ziya did not agree as the student’s exams were coming up and she did not want them to fail. She did her best in making the students eligible to take part in the exams.

Only two days before her Nikah she went with Hania to buy her wedding dress. She chose a simple beige gown with light golden beads and high heels in golden color. She even bought some hijab accessories which would complement her scarf (hijab). She was not so fond of jewels but Hania advised her to take a beautiful pair of bangles in golden color with silver studs in it and a matching ring as well. She took it. Then they went to make appointment in a salon for Ziya's makeup and fortunately the person in charge said that for bride, a makeup artist can come personally at their place but it would cost a little more. Ziya happily agreed to pay extra money instead of coming to the salon herself. Now she was having this strange feeling of nervousness of getting married.

There Anush also went for shopping with Husn. Anush was looking for a suit in white color with beige shirt and gold tie. And it was a bit tough to get it however with a bit of hard work they finally come across a boutique where they got their cloths. Then Anush went to a jeweler shop and bought a beautiful wedding ring for Ziya as her "Mahr"(gift). Husn really like the ring Anush bought because it was sweet but simple. The preparations were on-going and the wedding day was coming...

CHAPTER 11

The wedding date was finally here. It was Asr time, Ziya's apartment was fully decorated in white and gold color. The guests were already here and Ziya was getting ready inside her room. Hania was helping her out. The beautiful bride looked even more beautiful in the beige gown, just like a cute princess. Before stepping out of the room, Husn came to ask her whether she accept Anush as her husband and three times continuously she said yes. Ackbar was video calling her at the same moment for he was the 2nd witness. She literally had tears in her eyes. It was such an emotional moment that cannot be described.

Then Husn took her out in the living room and the close friends and neighbors were there to join in the celebrations. Anush was also waiting for his bride to come after he had accepted thrice to marry her. Now both were married in the Islamic way. It was such a delightful moment. Everyone was happy. Ziya and Anush received lots of gift as well. They exchanged rings, cut the cake and the photo sessions went on until it was Maghrib and time for dinner too. Every guest sat down and ate the meal together, a delicious 'biryani'. Time went by quickly and it was nearly Esha time, also the time for Ziya's rukhsati. Husn helped in bringing the suitcases downstairs and load it in the car. After that Ziya bid farewell to everyone and hugged them. She cried the most while hugging Husn and Hania for she had spent lots of time with them only. It was a really emotional scene. She sat at the backseat in the car, one of Anush's friend, Ahmad was driving them home. She said goodbye and waved her hand. Then she hugged Anush, already missing her loved ones and also guilty for not being able to tell her parents about her marriage. But Anush comforted her and she calmed down.

It was a really long and tiring journey that Ziya felt asleep on the shoulder of Anush. After three hours drive, finally they reached Toronto. Anush woke her up and they both entered the house together. Ahmad who is also Anush's neighbor parked the car in Anush's garage and went to his home by saying "congratulations" to both of them. Ziya was still tired and sleepy. She opened her suitcase, took out her sleeping cloths and towel. She headed towards the bathroom and took a long shower. While Anush also took a bath and waited for Ziya in the bed. After the bath Ziya was feeling very fresh. As soon as she came in the room, she saw Anush asleep. She found him so cute that she kissed his forehead and went to sleep in another room.

In the morning, Ziya woke up a little before Anush and prepared the breakfast herself. When Anush came down the first question he asked Ziya was:

"Didn't you sleep in the same bed as me last night?"

Ziya replied: "No! I slept in the room besides."

"But why?" Said Anush.

Ziya: "Because I didn't want to disturbed you".

"For your information we are married now. There is no such disturbance as you just mentioned."

Ziya: "I am sorry! I was a bit nervous as well."

Anush: "That's okay. Don't worry."

Then Anush was literally amazed to see a variety of food. Fruit salad, pancakes, toast, boiled eggs, sausages, tea, juice etc... It was hard for him to make a choice. Anush asked Ziya to sit down with him and he fed her with his own hand. Ziya was so happy, admitting that her desires were being fulfilled. She was happy having a husband like Anush. After breakfast, they watched a bit of TV together while cuddling. Anush held her hand and took her to their room where they got intimated. Ziya felt on the 9th cloud. She felt so secured in the arms of Anush, she did not want to let him go. After having physical relationship they performed ghusl(bath) and relaxed a bit in bed while holding hands and talking a bit. Then Anush took her out for lunch, a romantic one. They shared a good bond that they forgot about all the past grudges.

Returning back home, they spend a really good time together. The first day of Ziya's marriage was a memorable one. The next day, Anush joined the office while Ziya resigned from her job. She wanted to devote her time to her house and husband. Anush would take great care of her and never let her miss anyone. The love and affection that Anush gave her was so satisfying for Ziya. One week went by, Anush and Ziya's court marriage took place. Hania, Husn, Ahmad and Arshad came as witnesses. Without reading, both signed the papers. After the legal marriage, the 6 people had lunch in a Chinese restaurant celebrating the new life of Ziya and Anush.

A couple of days went by and Anush was extremely busy with work. He would come really late at home which made Ziya upset as she started feeling lonely and wanted Anush to spend some quality time with her. Yet she did not complaint or anything. She wanted Anush to realise it by himself. However, Anush couldn't realize how much his attitudes were hurting Ziya that she would cry herself to sleep at night. Though they continued to maintain their physical relationship but Ziya could not feel the same passion that Anush had for her.

A few weeks went by and Ziya learnt that she was pregnant. When her husband was back home in the evening, she told him about the good news and Anush was so happy of becoming a father but Ziya was unsure about herself becoming a mother. She even said to Anush:

"I don't feel it is the right time for us to become parents."

Anush: "Why are you speaking like this? Is there any problem?"

Ziya: "Look Anush! It has been practically only 2 months since we've got married and if you think about it you will know that during these two months the only time we were close was in the first week only. After that you was so busy that you could hardly give me your time. Now becoming parents and that too when you will not be by my side. It will actually be extremely difficult for me. If I am not happy, the baby also will not be happy. Complications might arises and consequences can be really upsetting. I am so hurt. I seriously want to spend time with you and be with you. It seems you're going far from me. Don't you love me anymore? Is it the case? Tell me please. It is so disturbing."

Anush: "First of all, I am so sorry for my behavior. I did not know that my attitude will hurt you so much. But trust me, I had no intention of causing you trouble I was actually working on a really huge project and I wanted to surprise you. I really love you baby and for your happiness only I was far from you."

Ziya: "Surprise? What kind of surprise?"

Anush: "Wait! (Taking out a file from his briefcase) Here. (Handing the file to Ziya)"

As Ziya opened it she was shocked to see that Anush had established a company in her name to allow her to fulfil her dreams of businesswoman. She hugged Anush out of happiness. She apologized for not being able to understand Anush but the latter did not mind it at all. From that day, Anush decided to work from home itself and devoted his time in taking care of Ziya as he wanted to prove himself thathe can be a good father and that he would mend his mistakes as well...

CHAPTER 12

Anush proved that he could be a good father. He used to take Ziya out for shopping though they did not know about the baby's gender but they choose cloths of random colors which will suit both baby girl or boy. Ziya loved cute toys and selected some fluffy and soft toys. Anush decided to redecorate the room besides for the baby. He thought about white and silver color. He bought new furniture, cradle and decorative pieces. He was so happy and wanted the baby to come out soon. In the meanwhile, Ziya expanded her business and Anush also was working hard from home itself. Their focus was on the baby's future. Five months went just like that with the preparation of the baby's birth.

One fine day, Ziya decided to go visit Husn and Hania because it has been a long time since they have not met. With the permission of Anush, Husn came to pick her up in a taxi as she wanted to stay over there and did not want to trouble Anush for such a long distance. She said goodbye to her husband and went away. On her way, she was feeling a bit weird and rest-less so she asked Husn to drop her back home. She will surprise Anush. Ziya entered from the back door secretly without making any noise. As she was about to walk up the stairs, the phone rang. So, she picked it up while Anush already picked the phone in the bedroom itself and said:
"Hello baby".

Ziya had no idea to whom Anush was saying baby but then she heard the voice of Mehek replying:

"Hey love. I missed you so much."

Ziya continued to listen to their conversation as follows:

Anush: "I missed you too. Thank God Ziya went away today and i am able to talk to you. Otherwise I was like in a prison. She would keep interfering in everything that I do."

Mehek: "It's okay hubby. After all she had this much right. She is doing so much for us."

Anush: "Yeah right. But she doesn't know for what reason I got married to her."

Mehek: "You haven't told her yet? Anush what if she files a case against us? You should have let her know."

Anush: "She will not be able to do so baby. The legal papers that I made her sign in the court which she thought was our marriage paper was actually the agreement. I made her signed it and she did not even read it. (Laughing)."

Mehek: "You're such a cunning person love."

Anush: "I know! I know! Well finally we are going to be parents honey. Ziya is unaware that I married her falsely so that she gives birth to our child and after that she will go on her way alone and I will come back to you. Unknowingly she is actually the surrogate mother of our baby. After giving birth to our child, I will not keep any contact with her but I will surely give her lots of money. I know you were feeling so low for not being able to conceive but thanks to the consultation of Ackbar we were able to get a solution. I knew that Ziya was still in love with me and it was not difficult to make her fall in love again. I gained her sympathy and pity. She thought I was heartbroken because you left me, little does she know we got married but had to put on this drama in order to have our child. Besides nobody could have done this job for us and additionally she had been pregnant with my child before that which meant she could be pregnant again. That is why we had chosen her for this task."

Mehek: "But yeah indeed a big thanks to Ackbar, he convinced Ziya that you were perfect for her while she was unaware it was our plan."

Anush: "Hehehe yeah. Baby only 4 months more and we'll be together with our baby. I promise. A little more patience and yeah it will be risky for us to keep in touch however I will text you from time to time."

Mehek: "Yes I completely understand. But be careful."

Anush: "I will. Anyway, tell me did my baby missed me?"

Mehek: "Obviously I miss you!"

Anush: "And you want me?"

Mehek: "A lot!"

Anush: "What will you do when you see me?"

Mehek: "Secret."

Anush: "Tell no. I want you so much. I missed you and want to see you."

Ziya was literally in tears while listening to this conversation. She left the phone on the table itself. She walked out on the streets alone in a really cold weather. She cried out loud and stopped in front of a shop. Husn went to buy something over there and while coming out he saw Ziya in tears. He ran towards her and embraced her. Ziya could not even speak a single word. She continued crying and crying even more loudly. Husn tried his best in calming her down but in vain. He took her in the taxi because it was so cold outside. Yet she continued crying and not willing to say anything. Husn hugged her so tightly and after a few minutes she was quiet. Ziya was so tired and feeling sleepy. Husn asked whether she will go home. She denied. She just wrapped her hands around Husn's arm and slept. In such situation, Husn took her with him to their apartment.

But once they reached there, she was feeling so weak and her heart beat was dropping. She was unable to walk and Husn hurried to the clinic where the doctors examined Ziya and said stress was the main factor for which her blood pressure was low. They injected a bottle of glucose inside her body. Soon she was feeling better and decided to go back. Before leaving the hospital Husn asked what happened and what was troubling her. Tears rolled down to her cheeks and she finally split it to Husn how Anush used her and made her feel disgusted about herself. She did not want to go back to Toronto while Husn was getting mad for this behavior and wanted to punch Anush in his face. Ziya asked for help from Husn as she did not have the courage to see the face of Anush again. She just wanted to get away with it and end her life. She was so devastated but Husn said he will find a solution that will definitely hurt Anush badly.

Husn pacified Ziya to go back home and he will figure out something really soon but for now Ziya had to behave normal and act like nothing happened until they come out with a plan. Ziya agreed. Husn dropped her back home and she was so furious to see Anush at home. Anush acted to be extremely happy to see her back that he was about to hug her but Ziya pushed him away by saying she was tired. Anush left her on her own. Ziya locked herself in the bedroom and went to sleep. When Anush came and knocked, his wife was not opening. He felt maybe Ziya is in a deep sleep so without disturbing her Anush went to sleep in the guest room.

There, the whole night Husn kept on thinking what to do. He was getting so frustrated and angry. He wanted to kill Anush once and for all but then he decided of something. He called Ziya the next morning on her phone and told her that she should just ran away without letting Anush see the face of his child. This would be a big slap for him and you'll finally take the revenge for all the tears you've wasted upon that stupid guy. Ziya thought it was a good idea but lots of planning was needed. Husn assured that he will take all responsibility, she just had to follow the instructions of him. Ziya obey to the command of Husn because she knew it was the only way for her to be in peace because her womb is not for rent and she had to teach Anush a good lesson...

CHAPTER 13

Husn tried his level best to organize the departure of Ziya. He arranged for a new passport in the name of Janasheen (Ziya's new identity), he even got a visa to Ireland for her and told her about the flight date. He even made arrangements for the stay of Ziya over there. Husn did make sure that Anush does not get suspicious he asked Ziya to say that she want to stay at Hania's place for two days which could be enough for Ziya to leave without any problems. One long week Ziya felt so low and did not even want to see Anush's face. She managed to pack her luggage and sent it with Husn as she really wanted to get out of that house fast. The day she asked permission to go, Anush himself dropped her at Hania's place however Hania was not there. After Anush left, Ziya and Husn made their way to the airport and gave Husn a letter to hand over to Anush when he will come to pick her up. Husn was feeling so sad to see Ziya going but he promised to join her soon because she will need support but Ziya refused completely by saying this is her battle and she will fight it alone. This made Husn extremely upset but he asked Ziya to promise him that she will keep in touch.

While leaving Ziya was literally crying and thanking Husn for everything he has done for her. She even hugged him and apologized saying if she had chosen Husn this situation would never arise. Husn comforted her and said goodbye to her. Ziya boarded the plan and she felt at peace leaving all hypocrites behind. She even destroyed her sim card and all other sources that would be a hurdle in her life or that would lead Anush to her because she knew with the money Anush had, he could easily be able to find her. Reaching Ireland, Ziya did informed Husn from a public telephone booth so that if ever Husn'a mobile is being traced nobody will be able to find her. Over there in Canada, two days went by and Anush came to pick Ziya. By his great astonishment Husn told him that Ziya came only for a while and handed a letter to him and then went away. He even mentioned that Ziya did not have any conversation with him and she was actually very upset.

Quickly, Anush opened that letter and it goes as follows:

"Dearest Husband! Oh sorry, dearest FALSE husband by the time you receive this letter I shall be very far from you.

This is to let you know that I am aware of your relationship with Mehek and how you fooled me so that I give birth to your child. But guess who got fooled? YOU.

You will never ever be able to see the face of your child again in your life. This is your punishment. I know it is nothing but trust me every day when you'll realize that you do have a child but could never see it you will suffer like I did.

I suffered a lot because of you from the very first day we met. Through what situations have I not gone because of you man. I lost my virginity, I aborted a child, I was in depression, I rejected Husn who could have been my happiness, I lied to my parents and what did you do for me in return? Lying to me and betraying me. Hats off to your guts Anush, hats off.

But you know something I am actually thankful for whatever happened because by these situations I learnt to be strong enough.

Now I will raise this child on my own and the most amazing part of this story is that I burnt the original agreement paper which was found in your briefcase. Nobody can exert his rights on my child now. Definitely not you.

Well the money you wanted to give me, you can easily spend it on bringing another surrogate mother for your BARREN wife. What? You are getting angry because I spoke ill about your loving wife? Well I am not sorry for that and if I am being rude so be it because I have had enough of your crap.

Anush I am leaving this country forever and you will never be able to find me.

You never actually knew who Ziya was unfortunately, if only you have had asked me about my consent I would have given you my life happily but what you did to me was even worst. I will never forget this. If only once you have told me I would never have felt so betrayed like I am feeling right now.

However, I am happy now that I will not be living with a hypocrite like you who kept on hurting me despite the fact that I always loved you and cared about you. No more now. It is going to be only about me and my child.

If by chance you get to speak to Ackbar say 'thanks for betraying me' to him on my behalf. The inner wounds my own cousin brother gave me is indescribable.

Anyway, before your blood pressure rises go and visit a doctor, who knows you might even get a heart attack after reading this letter.

It hurts, isn't it? You came so far with this mission 'surrogate mother' and now you've lost everything. Poor you but yes you will live with this pain now on Anush. One day or the other you will pay for your sins as well.

You may return to your Mehek now, because it is all over. I will not come back to you and you will never be able to know how your child looks like. Take good care of yourself! Oh that part of duty belongs to Mehek. I forgot. GOODBYE MR.ANUSH.

This letter blew off Anush's mind and he was going crazy, asking Husn different questions and the latter managed so good at hiding the whereabouts of Ziya. Husn asked what happened but Anush had no answer to that. He left from there and once in his car, he phoned Mehek and started crying by saying everything was over. Mehek was unable to understand what was going on. She asked Anush to calm down first and then narrate to her what happened. When Anush told Mehek that Ziya ran away, Mehek was speechless and did not expect this situation would arise in their life. For the first time ever, Anush called her barren and said that it is all because of her. Mehek was so heartbroken that she was crying and letting Anush vent out his anger till the latter hanged up the call and drove back to Toronto.

Once he reached home, he took out his briefcase and eventually the papers were missing. He opened the wardrobe and found no cloths of Ziya and not even her personal belongings. Anush checked her bank account and all the money was already withdrew and she even closed down her business. This left him in a huge shock. Wanting to have access to Ziya, he even checked all the flights that day but in vain. There was no such passenger in the name of Ziya. He knew that he had lost everything for sure because all he wanted was a baby and that too is gone. Anush wanted to scream but couldn't. He remembered the words of Ziya that he will suffer and eventually he was suffering so much....

CHAPTER 14

Two days went by and no news of Ziya which made Anush frustrated a lot. He tried every possible way to find Ziya but he couldn't get any access. He even called Ackbar and narrated the whole story which led the latter in great shock. Consequently, Ackbar also tried his level best to get information about Ziya but due to the identity change nobody was able to get through. However, both of them doubted that Husn could be involved with the disappearance of Ziya and Anush started to keep an eye on him. Husn was aware that he will be doubted and questioned on several occasions therefore he was more alert and abstained himself from contacting Ziya.

Nearly one whole month went like this without any information of Ziya and Anush had no doubts on Husn anymore. Yet Anush felt miserable and he lost all hopes thus he decided to go back to Mauritius. Before going, he met Husn and asked for forgiveness. He even told Husn that if ever Ziya come back do inform him. Husn agreed. When Husn was sure that Anush had already gone, he immediately phoned Ziya:

Husn: "Assalaamualaikum, are you fine? Is everything okay? How is the baby?"

Ziya: "Walaykumassalaam. I am fine alhamdulillah and what about you? Yes, everything is okay over here especially with your friend Lisa. She is so caring and she never let me alone for a while. The baby is fine too. There is three more months to go."

Husn: "After talking to you I am feeling better now. I know that (laughing) and I am glad Lisa is taking good care of you and the baby."

Ziya: "I missed you so much buddy. Please come to me. I need you. I need my friend."

Husn: "I missed you more and I am extremely sorry for not getting in touch with you. It is because Anush had doubts upon me and I didn't want to let him get any clue. But guess what? Anush went back to Mauritius today. That is why I called you immediately."

Ziya: "Really? That's good news. Maybe he was fed up with all the research."

Husn: "Maybe! Anyway, just letting you know I have booked my tickets online. Next week I shall be coming to Ireland. We going to meet soon. Don't worry, be strong and take care."

Ziya: "Oh wow! See just as I mentioned I wanted to see you. You've already booked your tickets. You're such a good friend man. Okay see you soon."

Husn: "I shall leave for now, I need to complete some paper works. Now you can call me at any time you want to."

Ziya: "Okay no problem. You take care."

Ziya wanted Husn to come as soon as possible and one week just went as lightning. Husn was finally in Ireland and Lisa went to pick him up from the airport. Ziya waited restlessly for Husn to come. Eventually when she saw Husn, she jumped in his arms with tears. It was so painful for her to live with the fear that anytime Anush might get to know about her but thankfully Husn managed the situation extremely well. Ziya was so happy about the coming of Husn that she prepared all his favorite food. They had a feast, Lisa, Husn and Ziya. Then Lisa went back job and Ziya was alone with Husn which was a great opportunity to talk a bit. Husn mentioned that he will be here till the delivery because his boss is not granting more holidays. Ziya did not mind at all for she spent one whole month without Husn, she had learnt to be strong enough and she would be fearless.

Ziya was care free and enjoying her few last days of pregnancy with her best friend. Day by day, she had to be very careful about herself and the baby. Fortunately, Husn was a great helping hand. Whenever Ziya would get cravings late night, Husn was always available for her. He even took her for the regular check up at the doctor's place. He wanted to be sure that the baby is safe. Both stood by each other side's in that foreign country. Maybe that is what best friends are really of. Days went by and the delivery date was approaching which made Ziya nervous, yet she would always act like brave and strong when sometimes all she wanted to do was crying and ending her life. But she did realize that she cannot be selfish as it is not only about her but about her baby too. One day, while on a regular check-up, the doctor asked if Ziya or Husn wanted to know about the baby's gender but both simultaneously replied to the doctor with a big no. This show how much they understood each other and how they connected so well.

There Anush did not actually gave up, he paid some people to keep an eye on Husn and as soon as he came to know that Husn went to Ireland he even sent some spy over there and that is when he knew that Ziya must be somewhere over there but he was really cautious. At any time given, Ziya and Husn did know that maybe someone could be following them. Who would have thought that Anush could be so cunning that he planned something really big which Ziya could not even imagine in her dream. But what was that? Only time will tell so...

CHAPTER 15

Anush landed in Ireland after a few days but remain hidden and out of Ziya's sight. He did not want to let her even get any doubt about his presence for Ziya could run away again. Ziya's delivery date was near and could be in labor pain at any moment.  Anush's spy was the one to inform him. Hearing this news, Anush started the preparations to execute his plans. Once all the preparations were done, Anush was relaxed and waited for the right time. While on the other hand, Ziya was extremely nervous. Her instinct would warn her about something wrong to be happening but she did not know what could it be. However, Husn was always there making sure Ziya was happy and cheerful. At some extent he was successful but still Ziya's day would not end unless she thought about the betrayal of Anush and the way the latter made her suffer.

After one week, Ziya started to have labour pains as her water bag burst and Husn took her to a private clinic. Anush was already aware in which clinic Ziya was admitted. After suffering from one long hour of labor pain, finally Ziya gave birth to a healthy baby boy. As she held her son in her arms she was so emotional at the same time she was delighted. Who would have known that it was the first and last time she would be holding her son. Ziya was transferred to the post-natal private ward and the baby was taken for bath and tests. Husn bought a bouquet for Ziya and congratulated her for being so patient and strong because finally it was all paid off. Husn asked her to sleep for a while as she was very exhausted. Husn remained by her side and fell asleep himself as he spent the whole night awake.

There, Anush was executing his plan. He had already paid the director of the clinic to let him take the baby away and as the doctor was bribed he agreed. But as the baby was newborn, the doctor recommended some medications and precautions as well. Anush went away with the baby secretly. After Anush left from the clinic, the doctor went to Ziya and said:

"We're very sorry ma'am. Your baby is no more. We tried to rescue him but in vain. Through the tests we found that he suffered from internal infections to which he could not survive. We are extremely very sorry."

Ziya was in a great shock, not willing to accept this news and wanted to see her baby. Husn was so furious saying that a few minutes ago the baby was all fine and healthy so how come suddenly the baby died. Actually, the doctor picked a dead baby who died in his mother's womb in a car accident. The doctor decided to hand over this baby boy to them. Husn started making noise in the hospital and many people gathered asking for what happened. Ziya was literally traumatized and heartbroken. She asked the doctor to take her to the baby. Once she was there, her heart refused to admit it was her son. She even picked that baby in her arms but could not feel the same she felt earlier. Ziya wanted her son back. She continuously cried and asked Almighty Allah why does this happen to her and will all her desires remains unfulfilled? She kept on asking what was her mistake? She was demoralized and low. Yet, she took the dead baby with her and performed the funeral according to rituals. After that she went to the apartment back and did not speak to anyone.

Husn felt pity for her but each time he would try to bring Ziya alive he failed. Ziya was just like a corpse, no reaction, no talks nothing. She fell into deep depression. Somewhere Ziya knew her son was alive but she wondered what happened. Nothing like that came into her mind that Anush might have kidnapped the baby. Husn kept on trying and trying to have the old Ziya back but it was practically impossible as Ziya did not want to make an effort herself. She spent her days and night in silence while staring at the sky or the stars. She had even stopped eating and talking. Neither would she sleep. After continuously behaving like this for almost two weeks, Husn decided to take her to the doctor as it was getting difficult. The psychiatrist confirmed that Ziya had went into severe depression and if she does not overcome this she might end up having brain tumor and other mental illness.

Husn would take Ziya out in parks where children were playing. By this way maybe Ziya would react but in vain. Nothing changed until she heard the crying of a child who had fallen on the ground. All she said was "My Baby" but soon realized it was a five year old boy and not her son. She hugged Husn and cried whole heartedly grieving over the death of her baby. She screamed and ask for her son back. Husn comforted her and took her back home. He decided that Ziya should not be staying in Ireland anymore because she would be suffering endlessly so they went back to Canada where Husn had his job too and the holidays he took were nearly over and he had to resumed back. Besides Hania could be taking great care of Ziya in his absence.

Anush was already back to Mauritius to his wife Mehek and both were extremely happy to have their baby with them finally. They named the baby "Salman" and looked after him properly. Anush and Mehek resolved their misunderstandings and were once again together. Anush was satisfied knowing he won against Ziya's game. Finally, he was now a father and his wife whom people would call 'barren' was also a mother now...

CHAPTER 16

After five months literally Ziya returned back to Canada. Their flight landed at night and they took a taxi to go home. They met Hania with great enthusiasm while hugging her. Because of the jet lag, Ziya was feeling tired and sleepy and went straight to her room. Fortunately, Husn had already informed Hania about their coming thus, the latter could make proper arrangements and tidy-up everywhere. Ziya slept and woke up the next morning with a really big surprise. As her eyes opened she found balloons all over with HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZIYA written on a banner. It was Ziya's birthday but because of the stress and everything she did not even remember however her best friends did not forget about it. Hania baked a cake all by herself and Ziya was asked to cut it. Husn and Hania sang happy birthday continuously. Husn was overwhelmed to see Ziya smiling after such a long time. It was a happy moment indeed. Husn gifted an envelope to Ziya and asked her to open it. She found the receipt of two tickets to Canada. Upon asking, Husn revealed that he paid for the tickets so that Ziya's parents could come over and spend some time with her because he knew how Ziya must be feeling. This made her cried out of happiness and sadness also, she had such a mixed emotion that it was indescribable. For Ziya's birthday, Hania's fiancé, Arshad took them to a restaurant for lunch and paid the bill himself. It was a treat for Ziya on his behalf. Ziya thanked them for making her day special. On that occasion, both Hania and Arshad announced that next month he'll be getting married, everything had been finalized and both were very excited. Ziya congratulated them and she was happy that it is going to be a new life for Hania.

After returning home, suddenly Ziya felt a deep breast pain and she could not bear it. She was crying out of pain. When Husn took her for consultation it was found that because her baby was not drinking her milk, it was getting accumulated inside and had to be taken out else this pain will not stop easily. With a suction pump the doctor removed the milk and collected it in a container. After that Ziya felt a bit better but she was missing her baby a lot however she had learnt how to control herself as she did not want to hurt her loved ones. On the other hand, Salman was continuously crying and refused to drink milk from the milk bottle which made Mehek upset because she was not able to understand what to do to make him quiet. Anush took the baby to the pediatric clinic and the doctor proclaimed that the baby needs to drink his mother's milk otherwise he'll fall sick. Anush was unable to understand what to do now. How will he make his son quiet? Where will he get milk for his son? He was going mad by thinking over it. He asked the doctor for other ways to make the baby calm down but the doctor suggested that mother's milk is the best for a newborn baby to consume. It seems that mother and child have a deep connection, where the mother's breast is in pain, on the other side the baby is feeling restless to consume his mother's milk.

While going home, Ziya did not allow her smile to disappear because she knew others would be upset if they saw her in a depressive state. Hania had prepared some yummy snacks with hot coffee and the four sat to have a break. After a few minutes, Arshad went away as he had received an emergency call. Hania had some work to sum up so she went into her room. So basically, Husn and Ziya was alone in the living room just having a talk. Ziya then remembered how once Husn proposed to her but she refused. She said she was sorry for that action of hers because if she had accepted the proposal she would have been happy. Then Husn explained to her that we never know what life reserved for us. Only time can tell so. He even asked Ziya not to worry about it because he will always be by her side and their relationship does not literally need a name. Ziya felt so lucky to have someone like Husn in her life. She just couldn't afford to lose him now. Husn assured her that nothing can changed the respect and love he had for her which literally touched her heart. They shared a moment of silent...

Anush there, tried his best to get mother milk. He used his money but in vain. No mother was ready to sell their milk. This was a big slap for Anush for he thought that money could literally buy anything whether by hook or crook. Unfortunately, not this time. Days went by and the baby still refused to drink. Anush was going crazy and talked with Mehek asking if he should go and get the milk from Ziya. Mehek instantly refused by saying this time they will lose the baby forever if Ziya gets to know about the truth. Anush then tried international help and fortunately a clinic was ready to sell the milk for a huge price as half of the money was to be given to the donor but as Anush was wealthy he did not mind to spend the money. By coincidence or luck, Ziya's milk went to Salman. But yes, the doctor did inform Ziya that her milk was to be sent abroad. She did not mind at all until it would only benefit a little angel. Little did she know that her son would be drinking her milk only. Salman drank the milk and was healthy again. He gained much energy and seeing him like this made his parents happy...

CHAPTER 17

Ziya's parents landed into Canada after 2 days and Ziya herself went to pick them up. She was so happy to see them, she couldn't resist and burst into tears. While hugging her parents she felt an immense peace and tranquility. Yet Ziya could not gather the courage to admit that she married Anush and was even pregnant. She managed to keep her silence. However, she did apologize for not contacting her parents during the past few months but her parents had nothing against her. They were just happy to see her. Once they reached the flat, Hania greeted Ziya's parents and welcome them in a warm way. Even Hania felt blessed to have elder people by her side for she lost her parents at a very young age. She never ever had the love and affection of her parents. And look at destiny's game, Ziya's parent were about to stay for one and a half months.  Knowing that Hania's wedding was to be held next month, Ziya's parents asked Hania not to worry about anything because her parents are here now. This made her emotional and she could not stop herself from hugging Ziya's parents.

In the evening when Husn came back home, Ziya's parents already recognized that this gentleman must be the one who booked their tickets and the one who care about their daughter most. Ziya's mother, Shaheeda felt so good after meeting Husn. She knew that Husn was a nice guy and a really good friend of Ziya. Being a mother, she could understand the fact that Husn loves Ziya a lot. Even Sajjaad, Ziya's father knew that Husn was indeed a mature and responsible guy. The little family had a gala dinner together. After a bit of chit-chat, everyone went to bed. Hania shared her room with Ziya while Ziya's room was given to her parents. It was not an issue at all. In fact, it was more fun for Ziya as she would get to talk with Hania and tease her as well. Ziya just wanted to make the last few days of Hania's life as a bachelor memorable. Despite going through a harsh situation herself, she was not ready to upset her loved ones. She knew only one thing, in order to acquire happiness first you must make others happy. That's what she was trying to do.

Gradually the wedding preparation started and Hania resigned from her job. She stayed at home and helped Ziya with the preparations. The responsibilities of guests list, food, decoration, venue, return gifts, cards and everything were distributed by Shaheeda to Ziya and Hania. They worked really hard and soon the big day was approaching. At any time given, Ziya was ready to go out for shopping because shopping is an ever-ending process for a wedding. On 23rd November, the Nikah ceremony took place after Esha prayer and the same day it was Hania's farewell. However, the next day a reception was held in the honor of Hania and Arshad's wedding. It was a simple but beautiful wedding. The most emotional person was Husn definitely because throughout all these years, Hania has been supporting Husn and Husn was always there for Hania. Because of the death of their parents they had to take care of each other and be each other support system. However before going to her husband's house, Hania asked Ziya to promise that she will always be there for Husn and will keep him happy because he rarely expressed himself. Only Ziya could understand his needs and wants. Ziya happily agreed.

Ziya fulfilled her promise by never letting Husn alone and always caring for him. One week before Ziya's parents were about to leave for Mauritius, Husn tried once again to propose to Ziya. The latter was hesitating to accept it because she had practically nothing to offers him.
Husn then said: "The most precious gift among couple is honesty." This won the heart of Ziya and agreed on the spot because she wanted to move on in life. She wanted happiness and realized that it was in Husn form. They even had a small engagement ceremony at home itself. Ziya's parents were also very happy because they knew Ziya took a really good decision and as Husn is a good human being, Ziya will never suffer and she will always be happy.

On the other hand, Anush and his wife were enjoying their life with their baby Salman. They roamed and organized many outings with family as well. Ackbar was also invited but every time he refused to go because he held Anush responsible for his betrayal towards Ziya. If Anush was not his brother-in-law, never ever in life Ackbar would have cheated on his cousin. Somehow by the actions and decision of Anush many lives were destroyed. However, this does not seem to have any impact on Anush because all that matters to him was his wife and son. He would do everything just to make them happy...

CHAPTER 18

ZIYA'S POV

I am so unsure about myself. I agreed to marry Husn but I don't know why something is wrong and my heart just does not agree with this decision of mine. I like Husn but I don't love him. That is the difference and what if this issue creates more problem between us in the future.

I wish him to understand that I have only loved Anush in my whole life and no matter what I don't think I will be able to love anyone else.

Am I being crazy? No, I don't think so but how I wish all this drama did not happened. Why did he used me? Was I so bad? Why did Anush never loved me as I deserved to be loved? Why he has always hurt me? Despite I gave him so much love, care and affection he never considered me as his wife.

But what is the mistake of Husn in all this? Why am I being unfair to him? He stood by my side all these times and supported me. Can't I do something to help him? I think I should just go with the flow and whatever happens we shall see.

Yet I fear, what if I fail to be a good wife to Husn? What if he will rebuke me about my past? I will not be able to bear the fact that someone constantly poke me due to my past.

No maybe he will understand me as he has already witnessed my journey so far. I don't think he will judge me based on my past.

Oh God! This is so disturbing...

HUSN'S POV

I am sure that this is the best decision of my life ever. Marrying Ziya would be a blessing for me. I know she will be a really good wife to me and moreover she will be my best friend which is amazing.

I can sense she is kind of nervous because of her past relationship. But on my behalf, I will definitely try my best to make her forget about her past. I will not let her suffer nor will I ever make her cry.

She is just a precious gem for me which I will never be able to afford to lose. I will not force myself on her, I will just be her best friend till she does not accept me fully as her husband because I understand she needs time as well.

Maybe it will be difficult to get over Anush and her son completely, but I will give her the time she needs to recover. I will be by her side and help her. This is a best friend's promise...

Ziya's parents were still in Canada and the four of them, Ziya's parents, Husn and Ziya herself were just having a tea break. Don't know how this issue came forward by chatting that Anush invited Ziya's parents to a party where he introduced his son to the whole world. Ziya and Husn looked at each other with a shocking reaction. She wondered where Anush got a son and that too recently because no matter what it takes nine months to give birth to a child. Somewhere, she doubted it could be her son which Anush might have taken in his possession. She wanted to scream, to cry and to vent out all her pains.

After a while, Husn called her in his room and both were confused. They had a conversation:

Ziya: "Are you thinking about what I am thinking?"

Husn: "Yes. I am thinking the same."

Ziya: "But how could this be possible?"

Husn: "I don't know exactly but definitely something is wrong."

Ziya: "(crying) I want to see my baby, I want to hold him in my arms and I want to hug him. Please Husn please. Try to find out how all this happened and whether it is my son or not."

Husn: "First stop crying. I will definitely figure out what happened exactly. Give me a few days."

Ziya: "Do you think I should go to Mauritius and find some clues?"

Husn: "Not to find clues but to meet your son directly and that too legally. I promise."

Ziya: "Thank you so much Husn. Thank you. I am indebted to you now."

Husn: "Stop making me feel guilty by saying thank you (hugging Ziya)."

On the other hand, Mehek developed a disease due to which she used to forget little things. Many incidents occur where she would forget to feed Salman or to change his diapers. Sometimes she would serve meal in a plate for herself but forgets to eat and later on she realized that the food remained untouched. Witnessing these changes in Mehek's behavior, Anush decided to take her to the doctor where he found that Mehek was suffering from brain tumor. That is why she keeps on forgetting things. This news completely devasted Anush. He tried his best to cure Mehek and seek international help. He contacted the best doctors in the world and Mehek's treatment started. In the meanwhile, Salman was kept with his grandmother as Anush took Mehek to America. Reaching America, the doctors clearly said that it would be extremely difficult to cure Mehek but they will try their best. Mehek pleaded to Anush to save her because she did not want to die so early. But who can fight destiny? Anush understood at any time Mehek could be gone so he returned back to Mauritius in less than one week.

While Husn gathered some information, it was clear that Anush took the baby from the hospital with the help of doctor. Husn booked Ziya's ticket to Mauritius on the same day as her parents but Ziya insisted that he comes along but he refused knowing that Ziya is strong enough to fight her battle alone. Husn wanted Ziya to be more stronger than she thinks. That is when Ziya boarded her flight with her parents, leaving Husn in Canada...

CHAPTER 19

Ziya reached Mauritius safely with her parents and stayed with them. She informed Husn about her arrival and Husn wished her all the best for her battle. But at the same time, Ziya was very nervous and restless too because of her son. She wondered how will she fight alone. Yet she decided to execute her plan as she thought. But for that Husn had to send the legal proofs to her so that she will be able to expose Anush. Husn had been trying his best to get the proofs in papers. Once done, he contacted Ziya and told her that she'll receive the documents in a few days. Ziya was happy and at ease now that she will be able to see her son.

There, Mehek's condition was deteriorating day by day and one fine morning she spoke to Anush:

"You know (by holding Anush's hand) maybe I am being punished for the injustice I have done towards Ziya. Now I sincerely regret it. For the greed of a baby I have destroyed her life. No wonder in what condition is she. Has she been able to recover from the loss of her son or not I don't know. But I really want to apologize to her before dying. I will have to answer my Rabb (GOD) after departing from this world and what will I tell Him that I was selfish and stone-hearted just for the sake of a baby! This is not fair, I wish I had realized that before and maybe I would not have been in this condition."

Anush: "Whatever was supposed to happened had already happened now. Don't blame yourself. You will be fine (tears in his eyes) Stop worrying about all this and rest for a while."

Mehek: "No Anush! You cannot deny the fact that what I am saying is true. If I ask you for something, will you give me?"

Anush: "Yes ask."

Mehek: "First promise me."

Anush: "Okay promise."

Mehek: "After my demise, marry Ziya."

Anush: "Are you out of your mind. You are not going anywhere. I won't let you go (literally crying)."

Mehek: "Please don't cry and don't make it difficult for me. I want you to be happy and also Salman needs his mother. I am not his mother and maybe I could never have been his mother. That is why Almighty Allah is calling me. Marry Ziya and in this way Salman will grow up in the hands of his very own biological mother. Please Anush, I beg of you. Do it for my sake."

Anush: "I will think about it."

Mehek: "No, you've already promised me and you will have to keep your promise."

Anush: "Please stop it. Just stop! I cannot. I have only loved you and Ziya? She was just a way to entertained myself during my days of youth and lately she had only been the surrogate mother of our child. Nothing else. I was never attracted towards her and never will be. I don't even love her. How will I live with her?"

Mehek: "Anush! Not all relationships are based on love. Some are based on compromise while others are based on compassion. What surrogate mother are you talking about? Salman is her son, her own son and that little angel is yours and hers. I was never in this story. Maybe that is why I am going away from you all."

Anush: "You know what I don't want to argue with you. I am going out."

Mehek: "Going out? Anush i am going, and that too forever. Do you realize that? And you don't want to fulfil this last wish of mine despite you promised me."

Anush walked away because all the words of Mehek was only hurting him. He wondered that indeed he has been really wrong and maybe because of his mistake, now his love, Mehek is going through such difficult situation. He knew that at any time Mehek might die. He really wanted to help Mehek but he knew he won't be able to do anything this time. After calming down for a while, Anush went to see Mehek again and told her that he is ready to accept Ziya. Mehek was extremely happy, knowing that Anush and Salman both will be in safe hands because Ziya will give them lots of love, care and affection. Mehek then asked him to go and bring Ziya back from Ireland. With his contacts, he tried to get the location of Ziya but he was shocked to know that she was in Mauritius only.

When Anush informed this news to Mehek, she asked him to go to her personally and bring her over here because she really wanted to speak to Ziya one last time. For that task, Anush gathered lots of courage but somewhere his ego came in between and would stop him from going to Ziya's place. Mehek would constantly beg of him to go but each time Anush would make excuses. Nearly one week went by with the same routine but Anush avoided this topic until Mehek herself decided to go along with Salman and that too without informing Anush...

CHAPTER 20

With a very heavy heart and guilty feelings, Mehek proceeded to Ziya's house with Salman in her arms. She knocked at the door once and heard a voice saying 'coming'. Her heart was pounding because it was Ziya's voice. When Ziya opened the door she was shocked seeing them as she did not expect such thing. For a moment she did not say anything until Mehek asked "can we come in please?"

Ziya invited her inside and before saying anything she offered her guest a glass of water and the sat on the same couch. Ziya was constantly looking at Salman, knowing he was her son. Even Mehek could understand that Ziya must be yearning to take Salman in her arms so she just hand over the baby to Ziya while she drank the water. Ziya felt the same warm touch of the baby as the day she gave birth to him. Tears rolled down her eyes. She hugged him and kissed him. She continued to look at him while the latter was snuggling in her arms maybe he knew that Ziya was his mother.

Mehek started the conversation while Ziya was listening to her quietly. She said:
"You must be wondering what am I doing here. Actually, I came to clarify some unspoken things and to clear some misunderstandings. First of all, I apologize sincerely for ruining your life. It is all my mistake. I am extremely very sorry (crying and her voice changed from all of a sudden) Just because I could never be pregnant I played with your life and some-how I destroyed it. I am ashamed for whatever I have done. I just could not bear it when everyone would say that I am barren and neither Anush because he loves me a lot. He wanted to be a father but I could not give him this happiness ever. In this way, we approached Ackbar because he was the only one who could have helped us at that time. But trust me, even Ackbar did not know that Anush would leave you afterwards because Anush told him that he will look after you even after you give birth to this baby. You must be thinking that Ackbar betrayed you, but this is not the case. Ackbar thought only about your well-being and he was happy to know that you will be getting the love you desire with Anush. So please, try to contact him as soon as possible because he is very angry with me and Anush for hiding this matter from him. Now I am being punished for my deeds, Almighty Allah gave me such a deadly disease that I won't survive longer. Yes Ziya, I have brain tumor. I want you to get married to Anush because that is your rightful place to be, as his wife! Besides, Salman needs his real mother which is you. Please don't refuse and consider this for your son. I know I have been a really bad friend, I used you for my own benefit. I am truly sorry. Forgive me if possible. Why are you silent? Say something. You must be really boiling out of anger."

Ziya: "What do I say more. You have already spoken so much that I am confused right now. I am glad that today Salman is here with me but at the same time I am sorry to hear about your health condition. Never ever would I wish something like this even for my enemy. But marrying Anush? No way Mehek. I won't be able to and I am truly sorry. Don't get me wrong but for any reason I will never ever accept such thing. I have already been hurt twice not this time Mehek please. I hope you understand this. I will happily take the responsibility of Salman because he is my son but not Anush because we don't share any relationship."

Mehek: "Anush is the father of Salman, how come you don't share any relationship with him. At least think about Salman, he is just a baby. Don't you want him to have both his parents by his side? Do you want him to grow up without the support of a father? Is this what you want?"

Ziya: "Well since you've spoken about the father thing. I don't think Anush would be a good father for my son. Yes, he might be rich and he will be able to afford the basic things Salman needs. If you're wondering who will be his father let me tell you I am engaged to Husn and we'll get married very soon. According to me, Husn will be a wonderful husband and father. He might not be too wealthy but the love he will give Salman I don't think Anush will be able to do so."

Mehek: "You got engaged?"

Ziya: "Yes, why? Shouldn't I have done it? I have moved on in life Mehek that is why I am telling you I don't want Anush back, I just want my baby (looking at Salman who was in her arms and realized he fell asleep) Oh wait, let me put him on the bed."

She walked towards her room when Mehek's phone rang and she could hear her speaking to Anush by saying she was at her place with Salman because Anush had been looking for her. It seemed that Anush was getting angry. Ziya came back in the living room and Mehek said she will have to get going as Anush will come to pick her up. Mehek walked to Ziya's room and took the baby in her arms. While leaving Mehek said to Ziya that she can come at her place to meet Salman whenever she wants and that nobody will restrict her from doing so. Ziya felt so upset as she wanted to spend more time with her son. However, she walked Mehek outside and saw Anush in his car which made her nostalgic about the day Anush came to fetch her from school. She controlled her emotions though and walked in sitting on the couch. She was thinking what will she do now. It was totally confusing for her...

CHAPTER 21

Ziya's parents were out for shopping and when they came back Ziya narrated the whole incident to them. She did not want to hide the truth from them anymore, she felt that she has been punished for doing such acts behind her parent's back. Ziya was now regretting it and decided to tell her parents whatever happened with Anush since the beginning that is, her relationship with Anush in her teenagers, pregnancy, abortion, meeting Anush in Canada, getting married, giving birth to a child and losing it through kidnap done by Anush. Eventually her parents were quite shocked, yet they understood her and the pain she went through. Her parents felt upset for not being able to support their daughters in her tough time. However, they promised to protect their daughter now afterwards and they will constantly be by her side. Ziya was relieved. Her parents advised her concerning the marriage and told her to accept it but the last decision was in Ziya's hand.

However, being in doubt Ziya contacted Husn and asked for his advice. The latter was shattered to hear the proposal of Mehek yet he encouraged her to accept it for their son as Salman deserves to be grown up with his parents. Ziya was in a strange dilemma, on one hand was her son on the other, her best friend. She wanted to take a fair decision so as no one would suffer. Consequently, Ziya planned of something really big which would shock every one but she was only waiting for the right time. She just wanted to make justice, that's all. Few days went by but Ziya was constantly missing her son and decided to go to meet him in his house. She phoned Mehek and asked if she was home as she wanted to see Salman. Mehek agreed for the meeting but not at home as Anush's parents knew nothing about this matter so she preferred to meet in a park. The next morning, Ziya went out to the park where she was waiting for Mehek and she ended up waiting for 2 hours. She then called Mehek and the latter forgot completely about the meeting. It was nothing but her disease. Therefore, they postponed the meeting for some other day!

One evening, Anush contacted Ziya without letting Mehek know about it. He asked her to come over for coffee in a coffee shop as he had to talk with her. Ziya agreed, doubting it would be about Salman only. So, without hesitating she went to meet Anush. When Ziya reached to the table, booked by Anush she did greet him. Like a gentleman, Anush offered her a seat and they started talking.

Anush: "I hope you're doing well?"

Ziya: "Yes I am very well thank you and what about you?"

Anush: "I am fine too. Well you must be wondering what is the reason for which I called you over here today."

Ziya: "Yes, so if you could just say it. That will be great"

Anush: "So basically, it is about Salman. You must have guessed it by now. Let me tell you I love my son extremely."

Ziya: "To the point that you kidnapped him at his birth, yeah right."

Anush: "It was my greed for a baby. I know you would understand that but you just want to make me feel guilty. Isn't it?"

Ziya: "Oh no! Not at all. I was just saying that casually. Anyway, go ahead and speak. What's the matter?"

Anush: "Seriously speaking, you know that Mehek's condition is deteriorating day by day and it is getting even worse. In this case I would want you to come over at my place and look after Salman."

Ziya: "Like a nanny!"

Anush: "No! As his mother."

Ziya: "Are you kidding me right now?"

Anush: "I said as his mother, not as my wife."

Ziya: "I never had any intention for that too."

Anush: "It is actually getting difficult for me to cope with the situation now. Most of the time Mehek keeps on forgetting about Salman and I personally think it is dangerous for my child. I cannot stay at home as my business needs me for now and I have to devote most of my time to the office. I want you to look after him so that I don't have to stress too much worrying about his state."

Ziya: "And your family? Will they be okay with it?"

Anush: "I have already spoken to them about this matter and they know what happened between us. Though they are angry with me right now but maybe with time they will forget it."

Ziya: "Oh yeah. As if it is so easy to forget about things that hurts us."

Anush: "Don't be so sarcastic."

Ziya: "I was just saying like that. Don't take it too personal."

Anush: "So what is your decision?"

Ziya: "I don't mind at all, in fact nothing would make me more happier than taking care of my son and spending time with him."

Anush: "So when will you be shifting over?"

Ziya: "As soon as it is possible."

Anush: "Well I don't have any problem with that, you are free to come when you want to. I guess you need to do some packing also, so tomorrow will it be okay?"

Ziya: "Yeah, sounds perfect."

Anush: "Great, see you then."

With this conversation, they ended drinking their coffee and made their way back home. Anush even asked Ziya if she wants a lift but the latter refused, thinking about her self-respect. She did not think it was right to go with that man. Ziya was impatiently waiting for the next day and packed her luggage in less than 2 hours. She took along with her all the necessary things and even did buy a few things for the baby. She was really excited and happy too...

CHAPTER 22

The whole night Ziya kept on thinking whether it will be fair to be dumb again and accept the command of Anush. She wondered what if it is the strategy of Anush as it is impossible to trust him again but what about her son... she kept on thinking when her phone rang from an unknown number. She picked it up

Ziya: "Hello"!

Unknown: "Hi bestie. How are you? This is Lubeïna here. Remember me?"

Ziya (overwhelmed): "Hey Lub! What a surprise... after so many years! Oh how can I forget you? But where did you get my number?? Thought we lost each other completely."

Lubeïna: "I found your number somehow. No way dear, how can we lose each other. You remember the promise we made that we will meet. That is why I am calling you. We planned a lunch tomorrow, Shameeah and Hasnaa also will be present at our favorite place. It is high time to meet each other because we've been too busy for the past few years."

Ziya: "That's great baby. Okay sure I will be there. We got a lot to catch up. In fact i needed a boost up and guess what I got your call. That is what besties are! Right? (giggle)"

Lubeïna: "Definitely! Missed you so much dear... never mind! Tomorrow we will see each other after 5 years literally. Wow, indeed time passes quickly."

Ziya: "Five years! That's a long time. Yes, I missed you too. Okay we'll meet and what about dress code?"

Both laughed and remembered how they used to decide dress code for any outing plan!
Then Lubeïna said: "Wear whatever you want."

With this they bid goodbye to each other and Ziya went to sleep. The next morning, Ziya texted Anush saying she won't be able to make it up today as she need to go somewhere. Anush said it's okay.

Ziya got ready and reached the location exactly at 10 A.M where she waited. After a few minutes, Shameeah walked in and they greet each other with lots of warmth. They hugged each other and in the meanwhile Hasnaa made her entry. Ziya and Sham welcomed her with their arms opened when they saw Lubeïna coming from far. And then it was a group hug of the four best friends. Though they used to talk less with each other but their friendship was still strong. They walked to their favorite restaurant McDonald's, while walking they talked about their present life. Lubeïna who had been engaged to Ubaid, but still focusing more on her career and education. While Shameeah is an independent lady today and owned her own business. She even established her company abroad. Hasnaa is already married and lives in Dubai with her husband, Fardeen but came to Mauritius for holidays lately.

And as Ziya started to narrate what happened with her in the past few years, the three others had tears in their eyes. They wondered how Ziya suffered from all this alone and they got so angry upon Anush. However, by discussing and talking Lubeïna suggested that Ziya should fight rightfully for her son as she is independent and besides Anush committed a crime in other words. He should be punished for that. Even Sham and Has agreed with Lub. Therefore, Ziya decided she should definitely go to the court and fight for her son instead of being a nanny. Ziya was now at peace and she enjoyed the lovely moments with her friends. After so many years, Ziya was happy. She just wanted time to stop so that she could be happy forever.

Taking her best friend's suggestion into consideration, Ziya went ahead. She filed a case against Anush for kidnapping and fake marriage. When Anush came to know about this case, he was extremely shocked and wondered why Ziya took such step. He was worried as he could be imprisoned. However, his money saved him. Like always! The matter even went to court and Ziya wanted the custody of Salman. After few weeks of court sessions, the judge was in the favor of Ziya because Salman was still a baby and only a mother could handle a little milk-drinking baby like that. Finally, Ziya was victorious and got the custody of her son. Hearing this news, Mehek got really sick. Though Anush handled the matter without her knowledge. Even Anush tried to pay lots of money to his lawyer so that the custody should be given to him only. But in vain and this proved justice to Ziya who had suffer a lot. It took a few days to complete the legal process and paper work for the custody. As soon as Ziya got the custody of Salman, she decided to settle down with Husn as she was in an engagement with him and even Husn wanted to accept Salman as his son. She was thinking of taking her parents to Canada along with her. She called Husn and informed him about their arrivals.

Before leaving for the airport, Ziya went to meet Anush at his place so that he could see his son. Anush was literally at the feet of Ziya, asking for forgiveness and begging her to stay. But Ziya would not change her mind. She asked him to stop creating a scene and that he is allowed to meet Salman whenever he wants to. After that, she even invited Anush for her wedding with Husn in two months. Anush was devasted, where he thought his family would be completed now his family was more broken than before. Mehek was still sick but she could understand Salman was going away. She requested to hold Salman a bit and Ziya was not so cruel, she allowed Mehek and Anush to spend few minutes with Salman. But Mehek's last wish remained incomplete, seeing Anush with his family!

Soon Ziya was already in Canada with her family, Husn came to pick them up. The little family was extremely very happy. Husn met the baby for the first time and he had a strong connection at the very first meeting. They drove to their new house, fully furnished and bought by Husn. This is the only reason why Husn did not accompany Ziya to Mauritius as he was working hard and earning more money to be able to buy their dream house. It was so spacious and big with four bedroom and one master bedroom in total. Even Ziya's parents were happy to see the happiness of their daughter. And yes, the wedding preparation had to go on and everyone was busy....

CHAPTER 23

Ziya's day started with Salman and ended with him also. She yearned the moment she will be able to take care of her son. Now the day was here and she was extremely happy. She looked after her son in the best way, she provided love and affection to him. Moreover, the wedding was approaching and Ziya had lots of preparation to do.

Husn lived in the apartment itself but frequently would come at Ziya's place to meet her and Salman, as well as his future in-laws. It was decided that after the Nikah, Husn will stay will them like a perfect family. Husn realized a huge responsibility is awaiting him as he is not the real father of Salman but he promised himself he will love him and protect him as his son. Even if Ziya would not want a second child, he will not force her. Husn was so comprehensive, though being a man leads to ego problem but he was not that type of person. He had the fear of Almighty Allah and for that reason he would think twice before doing anything. Husn had always wanted a family and for him, he found his family in Ziya and Salman.

When Hania, Husn's sister came to know that Ziya was back to Canada and that too with her son. She was eager to meet her. The day she landed in Canada, she went directly to Ziya's place and surprised her with flowers. Arshad also came with her. They were really glad to meet each other. Hania went for a business tour along with Arshad that is why she was not here. But when she heard the news of wedding, she was elated and wanted to do the best arrangements for her brother. Ziya was also very happy to have a best friend and a sister-in-law like Ziya. She was not like those typical jealous sister-in-law, rather she was very lovely and understanding. She wished Ziya best of luck as she knew, any girl who would marry her brother would be the luckiest and nothing could be great than having her best friend as her brother's wife. The moment Hania saw Salman, she fell in love with that little angel. She saw the reflection of Ziya in him, those sparkly eyes, his nose and the lips were just like Ziya. Hania was so happy to become the aunty of Salman. She even bought some gifts for the baby as Husn already told her about the baby. Ziya was so thankful. Arshad also was happy for Ziya, he knew through which difficult situations that poor soul has gone through but soon it will be over because everyone knows the nature of Husn.

After meeting Ziya, Hania went to her brother's place and they talked about the wedding arrangements. Hania took the responsibility and asked him not to worry about anything for she will look after everything. Arshad assured his brother-in-law that his wedding day will be a perfect one. They talked a bit and went back home. Husn was tension-free now as he completely trust his sister and knew the latter will make his wedding a memorable one.

On the other hand, Anush was restless and feeling helpless for not being able to do anything to keep his son with him. He realized it was his own deed that brought him to such situation. He was unable to cope with Mehek's illness and decided to leave her at her parent's place. Anush had the feeling of being a loser. He thought about his mistakes and felt like he was paying for his sins. He rejected Ziya because in his eyes Ziya was not the prettiest girl ever, she was just a way to entertain himself. But Anush failed to see the inner beauty of Ziya. He cursed himself but it was too late. He was left all alone, he neither had the love of his life, Mehek nor his son. He thought how situations would have been different if only he had married Ziya and settled down with her. Today he would have been with his family instead of being alone. Anush learnt a really good lesson and decided to go away from these things. Before going somewhere far from these problems, he went to meet Mehek at her parent's place but it was too late. Mehek passed away in front of him. He was unable to save his wife. Anush realized how miserable he is. He mourned the death of Mehek and grieved. Nothing could bring his wife back. For the first time in his entire life, Anush realized he had been so wrong all the time. He held himself responsible for the death of Mehek but her mother explained to him that birth and death are in the hands of Almighty Allah and human beings have no control over these things. Yet he was not convinced, the last wish of Mehek kept on haunting him. Every night he would see Mehek crying in his dreams and asking to get Ziya and Salman back. This was stressing Anush but he decided not to be a hurdle to Ziya's happiness. He had already caused so many damages to her but not anymore. He only wanted Ziya to be happy with Husn. He knew he lost his place because of his own mistakes but he repented and asked for forgiveness to Almighty Allah and decided not to hurt anyone else again.

Anush wanted to contact Ziya but hesitated as he was not aware of her reaction then he remembered that Ziya herself told him that he was allowed to meet Salman he decided to face time her as he was missing his son but going to Canada right now was a bit impossible. When he called Ziya, she picked up the phone and Salman was in her arms itself and the first thing Anush saw was his baby. He literally had tears in his eyes. He looked at his son and talked with Ziya a bit and gave her the death news of Mehek. Ziya felt sorry for him. Suddenly there was so much noise in the background and Anush felt disturbed. Upon asking, Ziya told him that the wedding preparations were going on and then the only thing Anush could say was 'Congratulations and best of luck'. Ziya was about to say 'thank you' that he hanged up the phone. Anush cried that day, he was so hurt and felt devasted. He saw how everything was falling apart and how in the end he was all alone. He wished to go back in the past and rectify all his mistakes. Unfortunately, it was impossible...

CHAPTER 24

Before getting married, Ziya decided to have a talk with Husn as she knew the latter might have some misunderstanding concerning their relationship. She approached him while Husn was playing with Salman in her room and said:

"Isn't he the most adorable baby ever (looking at Salman)".

Husn: "Indeed and he is the luckiest child to have a mother like you."

Ziya: "Oh please! Don't make me feel shy now."

Husn: "No I mean it, seriously. You are a wonderful mother Ziya."

Ziya: "And... do you think I will be a wonderful wife as well?"

Husn: "Without any doubt. I am 100% sure you will be an amazing wife."

Ziya: (a bit hesitant) "That's what I wanted to talk about. Our future relationship!"

Husn: "Oh okay. Yes, I do understand that it will be difficult for you to forget Anush all of a sudden and to stop loving him. But don't worry, I will give you the time you need to recover from all these. I will respect every decision of yours. I will never ever force you for anything. You can relax. If you don't want to have children after our marriage, I won't mind as long as Salman is with us. You just don't have to stress about anything. I will always be there for you, even if you can't accept me as your husband. I will just be your friend."

Ziya literally laughed at him and poor Husn was unable to understand what he said that Ziya found his talks so funny. Upon asking Ziya said:

"Wow Husn. You spoke a lot without even taking a single breath I guess. Whatever you said was just cute and it really touched my heart. But I was about to say something else (laughing). You shocked me completely as I have never seen this face of yours."

Husn: "What do you mean by something else?"

Ziya: "Well, I wanted to tell you that I am thankful to you for accepting me the way I am. For acknowledging my son as yours. For being a really good friend and for never leaving me alone. You might think this wedding is just a compromise between us. But that is not true. I am accepting you as my future husband. For me, you'll be my only partner and the love of my life. I will not be able to think about anyone else. I will try my best to keep you happy and to have a family with you. It does not mean that I will never want to have a baby for you in the future just because I already have Salman. No! You deserve every happiness in the world and I am ready to give you that. I will be the best wife to you and the best mother to Salman. I might have been a really bad daughter since now because I betrayed my parents, however I am repenting for that and I will prove myself that I will give my child the best education and best manners. For that, I will need not only my best friend but my husband also. We will nurture Salman and provide him with the parental love he needs because I know, he could not have a better father than you."

Husn: "I am speechless. Seriously, whatever you have said just mean a lot to me. I promise that I will not only be a good father to Salman, but I will also be the best husband to you (looking at Ziya and found that her face turned pale all of a sudden) what happened Ziya. Why are you so upset?"

Ziya: "I was just wondering that every wife dream of giving their husband a unique gift on their wedding, and that is their virginity. But I don't even have that to give you. I feel so miserable."

Husn: "You are wrong! The most precious gift amongst couple is honesty. I know that you are honest and our relationship will be a sincere one. Don't worry about anything else. Besides, nobody is perfect. I love you for your flaws, your insecurities, your darkest secrets and your fears. You're one of the most beautiful soul I have met and I pray to Almighty Allah that we'll be together in Jannah, Insha'Allah (kissing Ziya on her forehead)."

Ziya: (tears in her eyes) "I am very lucky to have someone like you. You are everything to me. I love you too. Aameen (holding Husn's hands for a while). The beginning of our relationship will be beautiful hopefully and nothing else will come our way except happiness."

Just then Ziya's mother knocked at the door and came in as Hania was downstairs. They had to talk about the wedding preparations. The discussions were going on smoothly without forgetting to mention about the shopping. Everyone worked really hard to make it to the big day. Both Ziya and Husn decided to have a simple wedding, with just a few family and friends. Nothing extra lavish nor anything exaggerating. Just simple and beautiful. For that, they booked a hall to accommodate their guests and for the menu, they decide to put up a buffet because most of their friends were not Muslim. So, it would be unfair to give them something they don't like to eat as meal. They outfits were chosen by Hania as she has a really good taste in clothes. Decorations were done by Arshad's professional friends who are decorators. Basically, everything was ready and everyone was just waiting for the wedding day.

A few days before the wedding, Ziya received a mail from Anush stating that:

"Dear Ziya, I have lost against myself. I thought money could buy anything. But I was wrong. Today I have million of rupees but neither do I have a wife nor a son. My family remained incomplete. What is the use of such wealth when it did not bring happiness to anyone? I am transferring my whole property to Salman, including my business, my houses, bungalows, cars and other funds. I hope you don't mind me giving this little gift to my son. I beg of you, please do not hide the fact from Salman that I am his father. Let him know what a terrible person I have been and tell him not to be like me. Rather be like you, sweet and sincere. I will never meet Salman in my whole life but do show him my picture and tell him that I love him. Please do that for me. I am going far away from everyone because all I do is just to keep on hurting people that love me, first you, then Mehek, Salman and now my parents. I cannot take it anymore. That is why I am taking this step. You will not be able to contact me nor will I ever disturb you again. I am truly sorry for everything I have done to you, do forgive me if it is possible and do not hate me. I repent sincerely. I wish you all the very best for your future life and I know you will be a really good mother and an excellent wife. Believe in yourself and everything will be possible. Ziya cried after reading his mail. She could sense the true repentance of Anush. However, it was impossible to contact him again. He was gone, forever and that too in a place where no one will be able to find him. Ziya showed this mail to Husn and the latter had no problem at all to tell Salman who is his real father. Ziya knew Husn was a true gem...

CHAPTER 25

The wedding day was finally here. Ziya, in a beige gown just like a princess with her crown on her headscarf. The high heels added elegance to her look and the bouquet she was holding was extremely beautiful in white pearls and creme roses. Her makeup was done by a professional, it was sweet and sober. Husn, looked dashing in the white costume and beige shirt with white tie. That little brooch on his suit was remarkable. He was matching with the outfit of Ziya. Without forgetting the little prince, all dressed up in Arabic style. The Nikah ceremony took place in their house itself and everything went on well. After that they proceeded to the hall where the reception would be held.

The hall, decorated with golden and white drapes looked outstanding. The natural flowers arranged on the stage added more beauty to the whole hall. Every guest was already there and were waiting only for the newly wedded couple. Husn, holding Salman in his arms and Ziya wrapping her hands around Husn's arms walked in the hall. Every guest was left speechless, it was the first time they ever saw such entry of the bride and groom. However, the guests did clap for their wonderful entry. The couple sat on the stage and Salman remained with them itself. In each and every photo Salman was involved. Whenever any family or friend would come to congratulate the couples, they would pick Salman in their arms and click pictures with him. It seems that Salman was the highlight of this wedding. Once dinner was ready, every guest was asked to have their food. It was a peaceful moment. Husn and Ziya also had their dinner. After a while, guests started to leave the hall as they had already eaten. Then it was time to go home for the couple.

When they reached home Hania, Arshad and her parents welcomed them in a warm way. After that, Ziya was directed to her bedroom and Husn was asked to join in after a few minutes. As soon as Ziya stepped in the bedroom, she saw rose petals scattered all over the bed and candles were lightened up. Ziya was feeling shy. Then Hania told her she will keep Salman with her tonight so that she will not be disturbed. Ziya agreed. After a few minutes, Husn came in the room and was confused to see such preparation. He asked Ziya what was all these and the latter replied it was for their wedding night. Before going ahead with the rituals, Husn asked Ziya if she was ready to complete the wedding night as per the recommendations of the Holy Prophet(pbuh) and Ziya did not answer anything, she just closed her eyes and went with the flow. Husn took her silence for a 'yes'. Eventually, that night they had physical relationship just like every husband and wife. This was a proof to Husn that Ziya meant whatever she said and she accepted Husn completely now.

The next morning, Ziya woke up early even before Fajr prayers and performed ghusl (complete bath) and then went to check on Salman. The little angel was sleeping peacefully in Hania's room. Ziya then went to wake Husn up so that he performed ghusl too. When they finished, they offered prayers together in their bedroom. Then Ziya went to prepare breakfast for everyone. When the rest of the family woke up, they had breakfast altogether and it was worth to see their happiness. The little family of Ziya was completed, with a husband, a son, her parents, Hania and Arshad. No matter what her desires were fulfill and she was the happiest woman on earth that day. It was just the beginning of a new life!

Safeguard your body from any evil and anyone else. This is your body. You decide what has to be done with it. Don't lose your honor for a moment of pleasure. Your naked body should only belong to those who fall in love with your naked soul. Be proud of being a virgin until you are married to the one who truly deserves your virginity. Remember Mr.Wrong will compromise your purity then disappear. But Mr.Right will protect your purity and then change your last name.

~ For girls: Don't trust boys so easily because they can do anything to make you believe that they love you and they will marry you. Until they finally get what they want, they will just leave you. Know somebody very well and do not hurry up with things. Feel free to share your personal things with your mother especially, she will always be there to help you. Do not hesitate to ask questions because at a certain age, girls become more curious and sometimes they end up in problems because of their curiosity. Be careful girls. ~ Dear men, if you love someone truly then touch her heart and not her body. Steal her attention and not her virginity. Make her smile and don't waste her tears. Most importantly, a father is not defined as the man who makes the baby but rather a man who extends his hands and time to help with the child's raising and his heart to love the child through anything. Blood does not always make you a father, being a father comes from the heart. Any boy can make a baby but it takes a real man to be a father and to raise a child.

~ The best love is the kind that awakens the soul, that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our heart and that brings peace to our minds. In a relationship, don't try to be perfect just be honest because honesty is very rare nowadays. If you love someone truly, try to understand their words as well as their silence. Don't hurt each other and don't do stupid things that will ruin your relationship.
